Introduction…

One day I stumbled upon a website that talked about ladies going over to the Dominican Republic to have plastic surgery and never returning due to unexpected fatalities which led to leaving behind devastating family members and children that are now motherless. This was totally unacceptable to me and I had to find a solution to decrease the number of fatalities that are occurring minute by minute, day by day, week by week and hour by hour only because we as women are not educated on preventive measures two fatalities if they should occur. If we are educated on how to prepare our bodies before a major surgery such as this, then we can reduce the number of occurrences.

Having the personality that I have acquired from my beloved mother who was known to reach out and help a complete stranger without any questions asked, I to eventually became an advocate to try to figure out how I can educate, empower and encourage women on how to properly prepare their bodies prior to their surgical ENHANCEMENT! In addition on how to have a successful recovery. And hopefully healing! If one knows better we do better and perform better!

Although I don’t know you, but I love and care about each and everyone of you ladies. If nothing applies to you that I have experienced on my personal journey that took place, it’s okay but by sharing such valuable information and education that can help SAVE just one sister girlfriend’s LIFE, then my living has not been in vain! Chi Town Made Me Do It!

I’ll never forget it was such a beautiful warm summer morning although it was the beginning of fall as I had just seen my baby girl off to her first day back to school of her sophomore year. My windows were open music playing and bumping in the background as I was cleaning my house and dancing like nobodies watching or business! Suddenly the phone rang and the voice activation on my caller ID says incoming call from Soraya. Soraya is my girlfriend from Chicago Chi town’s finest always on the move and will break a man’s heart and think nothing of it always reminding me, girl the bartender made me do it, right! After meeting one summer in Jamaica along with four other girlfriend of ours life has been quite an adventure. Soraya begins to tell me that she has been wanting to get a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck and breast lift for a long time and she has decided to do so in just three short weeks in which she has just been let down by her girlfriend from childhood and she can’t go through this alone. So she wants me, yes me of all people to come with her to assist because she knows I won’t let her down and I have a medical background as well.

Well by this time my music that was playing has now flatlined, I’m sitting down looking up to the hills from which cometh my help, wondering Lord, why do you always choose me to go through such events?

Since we are never to question God’s actions, I merrily answer Soraya after I hear her repeatedly through my speaker cell phone yelling my name Nee Nee girl are you still there? Yes I am. Soraya knows I can never say no to her because what our true real sister girlfriends for that truly have your back even if I had not known her all of our lives.

I feel deep down inside that Soraya really needed me and knowing that she was an only child as I am, we tend to have no one to really on but that one real down-to-earth true close friend who has proven herself in just six months of friendship would be by her side, than a person we both have known all our lives. I told Soraya I will pray on it and get back to her by Sunday.

Three weeks later, fastening my seatbelt preparing for takeoff to meet Soraya in HOTT Atlanta. Before shutting off my cell phone, I make one last call to Soraya letting her know I’m on the plane and I’ll meet her at the airport this evening when I touchdown and for her to have a safe flight. I text my daughter to tell her to be on her best behavior at school and at her best friends parents house and mommy loved her so much and call me if she needs help with her medical terminology homework and algebra two.

Five hours later I landed as scheduled, Soraya pick me up and we went to get our food for hotel for the week, met with her surgeon who completed her pre-surgery consult and gave her the medications for the next 10 days for her post opt recovery. Soraya’s plastic surgeon also instructed me on how to care for her and how to administer the HEPARIN shots Soraya will have to take daily to prevent blood clots.

We left the clinic where her doctor was such a joy to meet and the entire staff was so professional and very thoughtful and every way. Soraya and I went to dinner had a few hours of much needed girl talk, took pictures of her last few hours with her flat bootiere only fantasizing in her mind what it would be like with her new donk a donk tomorrow, after her surgeon works his famous magic in which he is a well known top plastic surgeon around the world. We end our evening sipping on a glass of Moscato before her final hour to have nothing to eat or drink 10 hours prior to surgery.

Tuesday morning 6:30 AM as Soraya is being prepared for surgery and I’m being consulted by her surgery consultant going over the last minute details and what time to pick Soraya up or letting me know it was okay if I camped out in the facility it was ok with them, but they would keep me informed and eventually call me to get the car after seeing her in the recovery room. Surgery went well four hours later, so I took her back to the hotel to get much needed rest. Soraya slept the entire night and entire second day except for when I had to wake her up to give her the heparin shots or assist her to the bathroom and walk her around the hotel room every hour on the hour to prevent blood clots.

I’ll never forget as the third day approaches I glanced over at Soraya and her coloring was not right for me, she was too pale! So I touched her and she was cold, I am immediately jumped up off the bed and shook her to wake her up as I was saying to myself in the back of my head, Oh hell naw heffa you are not dying on me because I will kick your new donk a donk so flat, flat as a 2 x 4 board if you die on me trying to mess with God’s original marvelous creation. I shook her again loudly calling out her name, Soraya wake up you okay girl? Soraya? She answers what? yeah, what’s wrong? I’m just very weak and tired slowly dozing back out into Lala land. I said, wait wait, oh hell naw, stay awake!" I threw back the covers and oh my God there my dearest Soraya laid there in a pool of blood beneath her. I panicked I got her up some kind of way leaned her over my shoulders and with the other hand grabbing my purse and keys by this time tears flowing in streaming down my face as I drag my big swollen dead ass weight girlfriend to the car, stuffed with body pillows under her and on the sides of her, still trying to protect her lifetime investment in such a time like this, as I made a bed out of the front seat of the car, stuffed with body pillows under her and on the sides of her just to get her to the nearest emergency room because per her surgeon who did the surgery stated during postop instructions skip calling him and proceed straight to the hospital and that I did not knowing the streets of Atlanta or no one, hazard lights on and flooring it like an Oakland California old G running from the Poe Poe in a high-speed chase stopping for nothing till I get to the ambulance entrance of the emergency room!

We arrive somewhat safely knowing it was nothing but God that cleared every pathway! So I got out of the car crying and all messed up in a very discreet way but I got immediate care for Soraya because I learned later, she had gone into pulmonary embolism!

Things happen so fast all I ask by the staff if I could stay or leave? I stayed by my friends side every moment and
