About this ebook

Have you ever wondered if there is life after death or what happens after a person dies or where you might spend eternity? Is there a real hell and such a thing as Gods wrath? Is there a heaven, and what are the requirements to gain entrance to this place? Many people are being deceived to think there is no wrath of God or eternal damnation in a place called hell. This idea comes from Satan through false teachings. This book will show according to Gods Word, the Bible, Gods wrath against all sin, and the Bible says we are all sinners. It will also show Gods loving Grace and mercy for his beloved creation, man. God provides a way to avoid His eternal wrath, through his eternal redemption plan. According to Gods Word, there are two types of people, the just and the unjust. Which one are you? What is your choice? Heaven or hell. This book is about choices, either to believe God your Creator or the lies of the evil one, Satan. We will also talk about a place called heaven where Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and where all true believers will spend eternity with their Savior.

John Hawblitzel

The sixth of eight children of Stanley and Helen Hawblitzel, I retired from a hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as operation manager of their maintenance department, and also retired from the Arkansas Air National Guard. I was born in Mishawaka, Indiana, but have lived in the small town of Alma, Arkansas, for the past forty-two years. This is where my wife, Kathy, and I raised four children. I became a true believer in Jesus Christ at the age of seven. I have taught Sunday school most of my adult life, and I thank God for His loving grace and mercy.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT

A special thanks and acknowledgment to the people who encouraged, supported and helped me in my effort to write this book; for without them, this book would not have happened. First of all, I thank a dear friend, who was in my Sunday school class for many years. She gave me the support, encouragement and prayer when I needed it most. She also helped proof read this book. Thank you, Mrs. Jean Stell.

A special thanks to my brother, Gene. He helped me with the theology. I always love talking to him about our Savior, Jesus Christ and hearing how much he loves his Savior. Gene was saved because of a sermon he heard on how bad hell was going to be and the only way he could escape hell was to believe, by faith, in what Jesus Christ did for him on the cross. Thank you so much, Gene!

The next thank you goes to my son, Jeff. He helped edit the book, which the Lord knows he had his work cut out for him. He spent a lot of time and I thank him for his effort.

Tanya Hoffsommer, a co-worker of mine, you were God sent. I know just enough about Microsoft Word to be dangerous. She came to my rescue and saved the day. Thank you, Tanya.

Last but not least, my wife, Kathy, who supported me and allowed me to spend hours at a time in my study writing this book. Thank you so much, Sweetheart!

One special thanks to the reason that I wrote this book; The thanks goes to my Savior and Lord, for without Him and what he did, there would be no hope or salvation for all of mankind. Thank you, my Savior!

    CHAPTER I

    From The Beginning

The Bible begins with GOD and His creation. From the very beginning, GOD gives man a choice. What is this choice? It is a choice based on faith. In the book of Hebrews 11:6 He said, But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Genesis 1:1, says, In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. Scofield reference Bible notes, puts it this way. "The Bible begins with God, not with philosophic arguments for his existence." So, in the very first verse in the Bible we have two choices-is God who He says He is and did He create the heaven and earth? This is just one decision we will talk about in this book.

The first bad decision made in the universe was not Adam and Eves decision to disobey God. It was the devils. 1 John 3:8 say, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. What does this verse mean? In the first part of this verse John writes, He that committeth sin is of the devil; does this verse mean that some of us sin and some of us do not? Paul writes in Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Now, we can see how the first bad decision in the universe affects all of God’s creation. Thank God for the last part of this verse- The son of God will destroy the works of the devil. What is the works of the devil? DISOBEYING GOD’S WORD, SIN!

Who is the devil? The devil is a rebellious creation of GOD. He is an angel, not just an angel but the most powerful angel God created. The devil has many names: Abaddon, Apollyon, Beelzebub, Belial, and Satan, just to name a few. He is the adversary of God and man (1 Peter 5:8) "Prince of demons" (Matthew 12:24) "Power of the air," (Ephesians 2:2) "Prince of the world," (John 14:30) and "Sinner from the beginning." (1 John 3:8) Another name for the devil is Lucifer. The first sin in the universe happened when Lucifer (AKA) the devil, said "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the side of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most high." (Isaiah. 14:13-14) The first part of verse 13 For thou has said in thine heart. What was the devil’s sin? Five times he said, "I will. His sins were pride, rebellion, jealousy, and because of him wanting to be the most high in the universe he is judged, convicted, sentenced, and the only thing left is Judgment Day. Satan and all the fallen angels are doomed. There is no redemption plan for the fallen angels. HELL was made for the devil and all the angels that followed him. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever." (Revelation 20:10)

So what happens to the human race? The first sin in the universe was caused by the devil; yet, the first sin in the world was caused by man. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for all have sin. (Romans 5:12) Because of one man’s sin, Mankind found himself in a condemned condition. Romans 5:17a, "For if by one man’s offense death reigned…" This does not mean that the devil did not have something to do with the fall of mankind. He had everything to do with the fall of man. Remember 1 John 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; God gave man a free will to choose between right and wrong, and what happened in the garden of Eden was man yielding to the devil’s temptation, choosing to disobey God’s word to man.

What happened in the Garden of Eden? To understand what happened in the Garden of Eden, we must first understand how man was created. Man was created in God’s image, after His likeness, and given dominion over all the earth. Genesis 1:26-27. Man did not evolve. We were created! Genesis 2:7 says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. What makes us different from animals? When God created us, we became a living soul, and this living soul will live forever. Remember, we were created in God’s image, and God is forever. The Question
