About this ebook

Children are "a blessing" from God "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I dedicated you" (Jeremiah 1:5). Margaret feels overwhelmed with all that is happening in her life: loosing her home, trying her best to nurture a good relationship with her children while guiding them on the right path of holiness, dealing with her husbands new job of 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, the economic issue the United States is undergoing, and now, a sudden secession from the Federated States of Micronesia and the Compact of Free Association with the United States proposed by her home states elected government officials. If the secession were to go through, it is very likely Margaret will be deported from the United States soil. If that were to happen, what about her U.S citizen young children and her American husband of 21 years? Margaret feels her husband can manage without her, but she must fight to be with her children at all cost. "These are my children, flesh of my flesh, bone of my bones, and blood of my blood; they are my responsibility, my love and my life. My government can either take me to jail or take my life, but it can never take me away from my children" Margaret cried herself to sleep while petitioning God to intervene recalling a dream she had had some years ago where she saw the future 1st African American President of the United States, U.S President Barak Obama, and where he politically stands on the prolife issue, particularly abortion. When we are talking about abortion, we are talking about children and how much they mean to us. Children are created by God for a reason. From her dream, Margaret is convinced, God calls certain individuals into the political and government arena to serve, care for and protect human life as their primary duty. On the other hand, the peoples duty is to keep their elected government leaders in their prayers, for their task can be overwhelming!

    Dedication

    I dedicate this book to my children and their father and all the children and their mothers and fathers out there with love.

    For my children: thank you for teaching me what it means to be a strong mother with the blessings you bring into my life through both the joys and crosses of parenting. Now, I could say "I know how God feels when I follow His life-giving instructions, as well as when I create my own path to trod going down the wrong path and endangering myself at the end.

    Prologue

    Longing

    She stares at the vast blue lagoon

    and wishes she is a fish

    to swim over and under those waves

    and let the high tide take her into the unknown world of the ocean

    where no one but peace is found.

    She imagines being under the waves

    where sea creatures,

    big and small are camouflaged in their environment,

    and roam their world with peace and contentment,

    while looking out for each other,

    keeping predators away for the security and safety of their family of fish.

    Oh she wishes it is the same with

    the human race, may they be camouflaged

    In love for one another and looking out

    for each other keeping predators out!

    Foreword

    Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, he turned into a butterfly Proverb. This is the lesson parents ought to pass on to their children.

    Parents are responsible to teach their children the importance of perseverance, courage, and keeping an eye on their life goal overcoming every obstacle life throws their way. As the proverb says the greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it; skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempest. Yes, life can be unbearable, but without the difficulties and hardships of life, life loses its meaning and texture.

    Turning to God for strength and courage to surf and overcome the waves of life, one can certainly gain confidence in accomplishing his life goal. Life is what one makes of it.

    In Not Without My Children Margaret, a mother of three finds herself in a maze while trying to figure out ways to give her children the desire of their hearts-to spend some time with their long-gone father in New York City, questioning the authority of government when it comes to upholding the dignity and sanctity of human life and family life, recalling a dream which revealed to her the historical result of the 2008 United States Election of the very first African-American President, and the connection between her dream and her passion to protect and love children: born and unborn.

    Special greetings to all readers…lepong allem nganei ami monson chon allea, Chuukese translation). May God’s special and extraordinary graces be yours now and forever….amwo faieochun, chonun, me tongen Kot epwe nono remi monsoon tori feilfeilo chok, Amen (May God’s graces and blessings be upon you and remain with you now and forever, Amen).

    Please fasten your seatbelt, we are approaching our spiritual, emotional, and psychological battle zone.

    Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the ruler of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6: 11-17).

    To God Be the Glory

    To God be the glory

    Let His grace carry you.

    Let it carry you…

    through the storms of life.

    let it carry you.

    To God be the glory.

    Let His eternal light enlighten your path.

    His eternal light is brighter than the sunrise.

    Let it enlighten your valley of darkness…

    and lead you onward to your battle zone of salvation.

    Let it enlighten and guide your path,

    in the midst of your strife.

    To God be the glory.

    Let His love nourish your soul.

    His Sacred Heart is a Storage of love.

    With the love of His Sacred Heart,

    we are strengthened in hope and perfected in His love.

    To have His Sacred Heart is to have hope;

    to live in the love of His Sacred Heart,

    Is to live in hope.

    To God be the glory.

    Let His grace carry you…

    Put on the armor of His truth,

    and let His grace carry you…

    through the storms of life,

    let His grace carry you.

    Let it carry you…

    to the mountain top of victory,

    let it carry you.

    Let it carry you…

    and strengthen you in hope and perfected in His love,

    let it carry you.

    Children are A blessing from God. In the same way, parents are A blessing from God. What does this mean? How can children who are viewed in the eyes of the world as burden and troublesome be blessings from God? On the same note, how can parents who are passionately in love with the materialistic world be blessings from God? How about marriages? According to Holy Scriptures, God is the author of human life
