About this ebook

Taylor Nash was born with cerebral palsy. As a result of being born with this condition, she was bullied to an extreme extent. As a result of the abuse, she developed a fear toward human beings, and her heart became unreceptive toward love. She was convinced the trauma of her life was irreversible, until she met a man that was willing to help her heart become responsive to love again. God used this man to help glue back together the pieces of her shattered soul. This is based on a true story.

I was born twenty-eight years ago in Oklahoma. My family and I moved to California when I was two years of age. I currently reside in Southern California with my husband. We have four dogs and a cat. I was raised by my grandparents, who I considered my parents. They raised me like one of their own. When I am not writing, I enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time with my husband and my church family. I started writing when I was nine years old. This is my first book.

    Chapter 1

    Handicapped And Hated

"But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness" – Galatians 5:22

Imagine being tormented all day long, every single day. Visualize how it would feel to have your feelings stepped on and being treated like you have no needs. Imagine what influence it would have on your self-esteem and happiness. The little girl in this story knows what this feels like. This is the story of Taylor Nash. Events took place in her life that she had no control over and she became a victim. Taylor was a very small and shy girl. Some people would describe her as being an introvert. She was an easily angered and irritable child. The effects of being abandoned by her biological father, Henry Nash, when her mother was pregnant; who chose not to show up in Taylor’s life until she was sixteen were devastating. Taylor’s restless mother, Esther Nash, would take off for months at a time instead of staying at home. Esther would get mad at her mother, who Taylor called grandma, for whatever reason then disappear from the house only to return home when she ran out of money. Taylor’s mother’s irresponsible behavior caused Taylor emotional stress and hurt her feelings. Taylor would worry herself sick thinking that her mother died out in the street somewhere and was never coming back; yet her mother always did, until she got restless again. As a result of Esther’s disappearing escapades Taylor was raised by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank. They had to step in and be parents to Taylor to prevent her from ending up in foster care; and Taylor loved them for it. The Franks’ were very loving, and made sure she had all her needs met. Taylor never forgot what her grandparents did for her to keep her out of foster care.

Taylor had great qualities. She was an above average student with an IQ of 112. Her favorite subject was English, and she enjoyed writing long research papers. She was classified as a geek in school because she always had a book with her to read in between classes. She was also diagnosed with a birth defect called Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a disease that causes delayed motor development, and can cause a person to walk on their toes. The little girl in this story walks on her toes and spent many years being ostracized by others as a result of it. This foul treatment made her reach the point where she no longer felt human. Becoming immune to anything good, she took insults as compliments and compliments as insults.

This book will address the effect bullying can have on someone’s life, sometimes permanently. Taylor lost almost every bit of her self-respect as a result of being bullied. She was only able to regain enough self-respect to function through the power of God’s love and mercy.

During the Christmas season, one year, God sent her a gift, a man, who would love her unconditionally and lead her on a spiritual path to healing. This book is for anyone out there who has been a victim of bullying to the point where they almost hate themselves. This book is different from any other self-help book on overcoming bullying. It is about seeking God’s help to overcome bullying. It is a spiritual journey. This book will benefit readers by letting them know that they are not alone, and there is hope. Taylor found her hope. By learning from her experiences, you can have that hope too.

The year was 1995. Taylor was in the fourth grade at Cheny Elementary in La Mirada, California. She loved school, and was an exceptional student. School was one of her favorite places. What was supposed to be a normal school day turned into a string of events
