About this ebook
We are faced with an industrialization phenomenon that makes itself felt in literature as well as in every other subject. The reshaping of literature according to the conditions of market capitalism turns literary products into simple consumables. Newly released literary novels, stories, poems, essays, etc. literary products no longer have an artistic quality, they are consumed quickly and resemble Hollywood movies…
Identical, fabricated books adorn the shelves of the bookstore. We are faced with books that appeal to the eye, not to the pleasure of reading. Every day, we are showered with novels whose content resembles a movie script, and the most popular ones are immediately adapted to the cinema. Their styles, plots and even the subjects themselves are extremely superficial, identical books are everywhere.
There are quite a few pages in such works, but it is possible to read and finish them in a short time. We would like to say that the reason for this is that it is written in a successful language. However, if we consider that the majority of the people who read these books find it boring and they find it boring, this is not the main reason. The main reason is that in such industrial novels, whether it is character analysis, description of environment and events, a very superficial work is done. Writers don't think about these things. Because – a group of authors should be excluded from this – what is important for authors now is the sales figures and the amounts they will earn, rather than the literary and aesthetic characteristics of their works.

A picture containing path Description automatically generatedThe day had already begun to dawn. He waited impatiently for the sun to come through the window to warm the curtains. But he wasn't the only one in a hurry. Mary also woke up early that morning. Today is Wednesday, the only day the town's shopping market was set up. As usual, he got dressed and left early, without even having breakfast. Meryem was looking forward to this day to sell the handcrafted, needle-embroidered kerchiefs. Ever since her husband lost her in a car accident, the whole weight of the house had been on her shoulders. He was trying to earn money by selling his handicrafts to meet all the needs of his little girl and take care of her. When she lost her husband in that hand traffic accident, she was left alone with her little daughter Zeynep. This sudden death of her husband had deeply affected both her and her daughter. In an instant, this whole world seemed to collapse on them like a pile of debris. But the real challenge started after that for both of them. Meryem did not return to her father's home. He didn't even think about going back. Her stars did not reconcile with her father because she married her husband lovingly. From that day on, he had a grudge against Meryem, and he vomited it at every opportunity. Now he had a daughter, Zeynep. How could he return knowing that he was not wanted in his father's hearth? He easily gave up on this thought. She wanted to take care of her daughter by herself, raise her and stand on her own feet without being dependent on anyone. Meryem, who was brought up in the village, could only study until three in primary school. Later, his father picked him up from school and let him go again.he had not allowed . He could not understand why Meryem's father had taken her from school despite her other siblings studying. Sometimes he saw that this coldness with his father was much older. The only problem was that she knew she wasn't marrying a man she didn't want. Despite his father's cold and distant attitude towards him, he got along very well with his mother. After leaving school, she ran to her mother's every job at home from an early age. Unaware that her little body was tired and worn out, she was helping her mother by running every job. Sometimes he did the laundry with his mother, sometimes he fed the animals in the barn, and sometimes he helped in the field work. In her spare time in the evening, she was learning handicrafts from her mother and making needlepoints to adorn the edges of the manuscripts. In time, he got used to home life and had already forgotten school. This new life seemed like a house game to him. But it didn't take long for him to realize that it wasn't a game. Despite her sister, a few years older than her, Meryem was a very beautiful, charming girl. From the moment it began to grow and flourish, its seers had already begun to erode its doors every day. But Meryem didn't like anyone until one day she fell in love with Mehmet, who came to their village . They fell in love at first sight and touched each other's hearts. When Mehmet sent a seer to his family to ask for Meryem, Meryem's father objected and did not want to give. However, he could not stand the insistence of Meryem and his mother and had to approve this marriage, albeit reluctantly . After Mehmet and Meryem got married, they bought a house in the town and settled down. They had a cute little house and a happy home. Mehmet was a driver in a shipping company, sometimes he had to go out of town. In those days, Meryem was feeling restless, and she was waiting for her husband to return home. He was waiting for her that day without taking his eyes off the road. But it wasn't her husband that came, it was her dark news. After that day, Meryem started to make and sell needle laces without rest. He used to sell his handicrafts in the market and send his daughter to school, and at the same time meet the needs of the house. Sometimes he kept doing this until late at night, falling asleep at the beginning of his work. He was working hard to provide a good future for his daughter and to keep her alive without needing anyone. Her daughter Zeynep had grown and flourished. Like many young girls, she had high eyes. She often ignored this difficult struggle of her mother and complained constantly about their life and situation. Although this situation made Meryem very sad, she still did not say a word to her daughter, she was afraid of upsetting her. He was struggling to keep up with his daughter's endless demands. That's why Meryem worked day and night. His eyes were starting to see a lot of power now. His fingers were too frayed to withstand the needle wounds any longer. She could see her daughter changing as she grew up. It was easier to take care of him when he was younger. But as he grew older, his problems and responsibilities increased, above all, he did not like the life he lived and became a person who constantly complained. He was no longer even aware of his adoring mother, who worked tirelessly to take care of him. He was also unaware of the whites falling on Meryem's hair, the veil that fell on her eyes, and the deep scars on her fingers. He was too blind to life to see all this. That morning, Meryem woke up early. The marketplace was about to be established. He wanted to go early and take his place and sell his handicrafts as soon as possible. Before leaving the house, she headed to her daughter's room. He would leave the last few liras in his pocket to his daughter and go to the market on foot as usual. When she went to her daughter's room and opened the door, she could not find her daughter in her room. There was a note attached to the edge of his pillow. The last light in his eyes went out when he read that note. She had left Meryem alone, her daughter, whom she had raised with the help of manual labor, for which she had sacrificed her youth for the sake of what she loved so much, fled to a man. It was such a huge wreck that for him, he couldn't escape. Zeynep came to the bus terminal with the man she ran away from, and they were waiting for the bus that would leave in half an hour to go to the man's hometown. Until then, they tried to wander around and spend some time. A sense of restlessness and distress filled Zeynep's heart. Good but why? She ran away to the man she loved, got rid of that poor poor life, finally got the opportunity to get the life she wanted. But he could not suppress the emotions inside him, and he could not prevent the storm that broke inside him. While he wanted this storm to end first, he came face to face with the woman who was sitting in the corner selling something. Women said that the biggest waves of the storm's words had been. "El does not have space for eye-straining labor? ' shouted the saleswoman. Just as like his mother, Mary. At that moment, these waves, which filled his ears, engulfed his whole soul and body, and he realized the mistake and mistake he had made. No matter what, he couldn't leave his mother like this, he shouldn't have left. With tears in her eyes, she ran and jumped into a taxi and drove home. The driver asked him in a low voice the reason for the tears in his eyes. But Zeynep did not even hear. She cried all the way in the backseat where she was shaking. They were tears of pain, anger, regret. But beyond it were much deeper emotions, a great sense of shame. He was thinking about what to say to his mother. He wondered how to apologize to her, how to look at her again. She didn't know how to console her mother's wounded heart, her eyes swollen from crying. He got out of the car, opened the old creaking door of the house and made his way to the door of the house through the small garden path. It was as if it had been years since he left home. How everything seemed different all of a sudden. Filled with regret, shame and pain, she opened the door of the house with the key she took out of her purse. She wanted to see her mother, who called out to her when the door opened and ran excitedly. But the house was pretty quiet. Thinking that her mother was sitting in a corner crying, she crept in quietly. A high-backed
