    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS & DEDICATION

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who spiritually supported in any way to the development of this project directly or indirectly. Special thanks to my daughter Janelle Boxhill for her contribution of I.T. skills and Prophetess Patricia (Blessed P) Bolt Thomas for your word of direction. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I dedicate this book to the memory of my loving Mother Pearline Urline Lloyd who took her leave of absence from this world 04/29/2013. A woman who was unselfish, giving and caring to whomever came into her path; Gone from our presence, but not from our hearts.

Also dedicated to the future of my generation, through my daughter Janelle that they will live by the faith of God/ Elohim and not by their sight. May their faith will always be charged, to make a positive impact for the Kingdom of God.

To the greatest Author there is and will ever be, Elohim, who authored my existence and destiny, I dedicate this book. Thank you for believing in me, and investing wisdom, knowledge and understanding in me, to assist others who need spiritual direction. So their lives will be changed as they activate their measure of faith, so they too can share the privilege, to receive divine blessings in abundance.

    FAITH RECHARGED

Your Faith in God will not always stay at a full level by itself. Sometimes it’s up, sometimes down; sometimes it’s not sure where it stands. If you allow emotions to lead your faith it will be like a yoyo, as James (1:6) says it wavers. It takes consistent work and trust in God to keep it full. If your faith is constantly being recharged you have no reason to run out of power, no reason to doubt and no reason to be spiritually dead. Like your cell phone when the power runs down you have to plug it in to a power source to recharge it, and bring the power level up to full.

A recharged faith puts you in line to receive divine favor. Favor takes time to manifest. The principle of seed, time and harvest applies to receiving favor from God. Hadassah/Esther, (the orphan) spent 12 months in preparation to meet the king. This could have been a one-time opportunity to be in the presence of the king. Only one maiden would be chosen for queen. Favor was granted to Esther and she was chosen as Queen and achieved continuous opportunity in the presence of the king.

Divine favor elevates you to a higher category. Favor from the King (God) changes everything in your life. You will never remain the same once God places His hands on you. He changes your attitude, walk, talk, situation and name to match your newness. Abram became Abraham the father of many nations; Sarai to Sarah conceived post menopause; Hadassah to Esther became queen from being a peasant orphan; Joseph to Head corner stone became ruler of Egypt from being incarcerated; Jephthah who was considered a bastard by his siblings became commander of the army of Gilead as well as judge. For these individuals favor started when their name changed. And yes, Jephthah had a name change as well, from bastard to son of the highest God. So did Jabez, his name changed from pain to Blessed.

Recharged faith will strengthen your hope. When your past is trying to control your future, hope stepped up and says "no, don’t look behind or you will be like Lots wife. Instead look ahead and raise that level of faith’. Hope is a rope. At one end is God and you at the other. That rope will take you to your destiny if you hold on to it, because God will never let go of His end. If you let it go, you will be disconnected from your destiny and will never achieve your purpose. So recharge to impact!

    INTRODUCTION

There are three actions that will affect your future: faith, fear and forgiveness. These will be addressed at some point in this project.

Recently I did a study on the Sunflower plant. The Greek name for sunflower is Helianthus. I found 12 different species of the flower which range in height from 36 inches to 12ft. Namely Helianthus- bismarkus (6-8 ft.), citrinus (6-8ft), giganteus (Russian Giant 10-12 ft.), decapetalus, multiflorus, orgyalis, rigidus, sparsifolius, tomentosus, exilis, petiolaris and scaberrimis. Sunflower requires full sunlight to grow well. It prefers fertile, well drained sandy and clay soil with added compost. Its drought and salt tolerance is low. It has a strong taproot and show a prolific lateral spread of surface roots. It prefers temperature of 70-78degrees F but is not fussy and not sensitive to day length.¹

The leaves are phototropic and turn slowly to follow the sun’s rays, to get sufficient energy for photosynthesis. Buds are heliotropic and on sunny days turn from east to west, returning to an east-facing position at dawn. The stem stiffens as the plant matures and when it blooms, the stem freezes facing eastward. When there’s no light (e.g. night time), the other side of the stem grows, pushing the leaves and flowers back to the east where they will be facing the sun at sunrise. Growing leaves and immature flowers are green, and actively photosynthesizing, and heliotropism provides them with 10-15% more sunlight than just sitting still.²

Bees, insects and butterflies are necessary for pollination. As the seeds ripen birds will steal them. If you want to keep the harvest you must cover the head of the sunflower with cheese cloth or some protection that will allow light and air to penetrate. So parallel to the sunflower (that has been attacked when yielding seeds) is mankind, who also encounter attacks. The attacks you encounter are necessary for your faith to grow, just like the attacks of the butterflies, bees and insects on the sunflower are for pollination. And like the sunflower you have to cover yourself with the Word of God and prayer which are the nutrients that your faith needs to keep it afloat. So not only is prayer and the Word of God a covering from attacks but they are also nutritious for your soul and spirit.

The attitude of the Helianthus giganteus aka Russian Giant (which grows to 10-12 ft. and bears large yellow flowers) is: I stand boldly and lift mine eyes towards the hills to view the sun as it rises with its radiant rays from where comes my strength. It is always looking towards the sun, toward the hills from which its health comes. Without the sun the plant would not be healthy and would die. Your faith should be like the sunflower bold and bright standing tall looking always towards the Son/Father of Light, towards the hills from where your help comes from. Very important, always try to be in the presence of the Son at all times.

You are flowers of faith, and should carry the name Faith-flowers, because it is your faith in God that makes you bloom. Faith is yours to have and use, so you can produce. If you use your faith it will produce. You can pretend at anything but you cannot fake faith. You either have faith or not. Just like how you cannot smile and frown at the same time. If you find that you are smiling and frowning at the same time your spirit is messed up. The carnal nature is trying to overpower the spiritual nature and needs to be purged. So purge the spirit with a spiritual laxative to flush out the carnal nature. The spiritual laxative is fasting with prayer. Your old way of doing things cannot bring you newness. So your traditional ways of serving God will not save you because you are still in the religiosity of doing things and there is no revelation from God. Be like the giant sunflower, 12ft tall looking over everything that the devil throws at you. Don’t let your faith bow, don’t let it wilt. Focus on the Son of God where His glory shines. If the focus is not on the Son then you won’t see the Father.

In the beginning God created everything and confirmed it with the seal of GOOD. God’s Good is equivalent to our excellent. He created time (day/light and night/darkness) and stamped it; ‘GOOD’. He created people and place (earth) for them to occupy and stamped ‘GOOD’. He created provision and that too was good. He created the heavens, a place separate from our dwelling place but a place where the rain, snow and hail are stored and the home for the clouds, sun, moon and stars. The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handy work (Psalm 19:1). After all that work He did, He did not want mankind to be a robot. So along with the authority to subdue and have dominion, He gave man freewill to choose, to serve, communicate and worship Him.

God (Yahweh) does not need no other word to describe is handiwork than GOOD. God is Good and Good is God. He is Sovereign. So He just adds another o to God and there comes Good. The second o in the word represents His creation/universe and His never ending love. He wanted to describe what He created, so He added something that looked like Him and represents His handiwork and that was o, which is complete. There are three letters in the word God, the # 3 reflects perfection, nothing missing nothing broken. God is perfect. He added an o to create the word Good which has four letters. The #4 reflects the universe/the four corners of the world. Whatever God creates reflects him. The universe is good as created by God. There is no word that is above good. It does not matter what the intellectuals come up with, none exceeds good. Man’s excellence cannot be compared to or exceeds God’s good.

How does God communicate with man? Your answer without first thinking, is prayer and faith. But that is the method through which we communicate with God. Jesus did the same when He was on earth. The gospel according to St John (17: 20-26) states that Jesus communicated with God when He prayed for us. How is that connection made? When God formed man He blew His breath into man and man became a live soul. So if God blew His breath into the formed man and he became a live soul and man is made in the image and likeness of God that means God has a soul.³ Man became a living soul. This statement implies that man was a dead soul before the breath of God was breathed into it. A dead soul is an image of something or someone which has no life; an idol; a god; having no life and no power. So God communicates with man through His Spirit, making a connection with the soul of man through the Holy Spirit.

The devil communicates with man through the mind/soul and uses the emotions and imaginations to influence him. The devil connects to the fleshly nature of man which is the mind. God communicates through the soul/mind which is the spiritual nature of man. Mind for the man and Soul for the spirit. When God molded man from the clay, man was an image, an idol of Him (God), a little god. That image could not do anything until God breathed of Himself into it. Then it was no longer an image or an idol but now a living soul. So He communicates with man through his soul. Not through man’s knowledge because that is limited. When God communicates with man through his soul, that is when he receives knowledge, wisdom and understanding from the experience he shared with Him. There is intimacy also occurring with the soul of man and the soul of God.

Your spiritual location is vital to your deliverance or victory. Where are you in your faith journey? Are you just starting your journey of faith? Or are you mid-way your journey? Or are you are close to the finish line? Or are you a non-starter? A non-starter is one who accepts the belief for face value, but is not convicted enough to test what is heard. A non-starter is a hearer but not a doer. So no value is placed on the acquired knowledge. One of Merriam-Webster definition for belief is a feeling that something is good, right, or valuable.⁴ This meaning exemplifies a non-starter’s attitude. A non-starter believes that the idea is good, does no work but just sits and watches others work and receive their blessings. Then becomes jealous and complain and envy their success.

An example of a non- starter can be found in the scripture (Acts 19:1-6) And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. They accepted the information John taught them, but never worked it to receive the knowledge that was embedded in the information, so they could receive wisdom.

Another meaning of belief (as per Merriam-Webster) is conviction of the truth of some statement, or the reality of some being or phenomenon especially when based on examination of evidence. This meaning relates to the person who has started the faith journey and is staying the course. A starter has begun the race but has a lot of work ahead to do. To stay on course you have to stay focus by praying constantly and reading the word of God. You must also exercise the nine attributes of Christ (Galatians 5:22-23) to carry you through.

The faith referred to here, as the journey of faith is not the fruit of the Spirit Faith. As mentioned in my previous book,⁵ the fruit of the Spirit faith is the prerequisite to the gift of the Spirit Faith. The gift of the Spirit Faith is graduated faith, which is what I referred to as the journey of Faith. To maintain the journey/gift of the Spirit Faith, you have to work hard on the Christ-like attributes. (I veered off a bit, so now let’s get back to your faith location).

Let’s look at this Scenario: A person in distress called 911. The dispatcher dispatches the emergency after receiving pertinent information. The unit (Police, EMS, EMT, and Fire) that is closest to the location of the distress, will accept the call and will respond to the dispatcher. That unit will reach the location first hopefully, because it was closest to the location. If the unit that was further away had accepted the call, that unit would not get there on time and probably the situation would escalate before that units gets there. The blessing in disguise is, that based on the nature of the call there may be other units responding as back up. But if the location was not identified in the call, it would take more effort to locate the address and maybe the result would not be favorable. When you are in close proximity to your rescue unit, you will receive the help and support you need to carry you through. What I am saying is that you have to be strategically positioned in your faith. So when things go wrong, you are able to reconnect quickly and proceed with help from others and God.

Your worship lifestyle which includes praying puts you in the right locale to be connected. So you can receive support when you are in need, to carry you through the finish line. Someone wrote a line of a chorus, The closer I get the more I see the glory of the soon coming king. You see the closer you get to God through your worship lifestyle, will allow you to see more of the glory of God. Use your faith to change your situation.

The town folks called Bartimaeus ‘blind Bartimaeus’ because they used is affliction to identify him. Bartimaeus’ faith allowed him to cast away the object which identified him as a blind beggar. While on your faith journey, your challenges should not identify you or characterize you. Your present situation is not your final destination unless you allow it to be. Bartimaeus knew and believed that once Jesus called him, he would never remained the same. He knew there is change or a miracle with his name on it. Therefore he would no longer need his beggars label anymore. He didn’t wait until after he received his blessing to throw away the coat. He threw it away before he received his change. Release, to receive was what Bartimaeus did.

Don’t let situation or people dictate your position in life. Don’t let it characterize you either. Young people this is for you as well. You can rise above the stigmas that you have allowed to attach themselves to you. Activate your belief system which is in YaHWeH and let it work positively for you. So pull up your pants, pull your skirts down and cover your intimate parts. Let no one despise your young days and that includes yourself as well.

    Open the door of Faith

Acts14:27 state that God opens the door of faith. The understanding to that statement is that God made the door of faith available to you, when He gave you the measure of faith. Activation of that measure of faith, is how the door of faith opens up. Before you can open the door of faith, you must first open the door that leads to the door of faith. Let me explain. It’s like you enter through door #1 to go in the lobby or vestibule first, before you can open the door to your habitat, which is the door of Faith.

If you are a doubting Thomas, or a person that is
