About this ebook

From what we see around us, we can conclude our beloved country is going in the wrong direction. We have felt safe while Christians around the world have been suffering incredible religious persecution. It is catching up to us. There is a growing cooperative relation between the government and several private groups to repress any Christian expression.

Openly practicing our faith is under attack. God has appointed His believers to be His ambassadors to this world and has called us to stand up and defend the faith (1 Peter 3:15; 2 Corinthians 5:20).

This book examines the forces that resist our openly witnessing for the faith. We will examine the world, the flesh, and the Devil and look at their interaction with man. Hopefully, we will open a supportive dialogue between ambassadors.

Dr. Edward Jones is a seventy-five-year-old man living in a senior complex in central Florida. He led an active life prior to 1995 when he became disabled. Writing replaced preaching. In addition to his books, he writes for the Crossroads Bible Institute and is chairmen of his churchs prison ministry. He brings to his writing a unique balance between the spiritual and the secular. His books reflect the interplay of the two. Other books include Come up Hither and The Joy of Fellowship.

Christs Ambassadors is his third book. All his books reflect his deep commitment to Biblical inerrancy.

    PREFACE

"And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of truth. (2 Timothy 2:24-25)

…preach the Word: be ready in season and out of season: reprove exhort, with great patience and instruction.. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn to myths. (II Timothy 4-3)

As I approach my 80th birthday, I look back on a blessed life. sing-along with the old verse, I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. However, I have a lingering regret. I regret not recognizing and taking a stand against the changes taking root in our country. Various forces are forming with the goal of erasing any religious reference from Western culture. The Politically Correct movement is having incredible success destroying Judeo-Christian" traditions. Unique to this era is the collaboration of government and private interests in changing and controlling people.

As we examine the Political Control movement, the enabling power behind it is not obvious. In this book I have taken the stand that the PC movement is Satanic. Knowing our enemy keeps our thinking straight. Throuhout the book, we will see the conflict between good and evil played out in our lives.

I am convinced it is time to stand up for our Christian beliefs. People say God can fight his own battles. Of course, but his plan is to use us. Like minded people need to start communicating. We need to support each other. I am planning to form an interactive chat room.: We can share whatever God lays on our hearts. I once administered a blog, I am thinking along those lines.

With this book I am taking my stand. We all have the assurance of having read the back of the book(the Bible) and know how it ends.

    APPOINTED AMBASSADOR

By grace through faith, God’s grace has redeemed us. Among our many blessings, we’ve become children of the king. We’ve also been appointed as Christ’s ambassadors. God decreed our appointment to earth:

All these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the World to Himself in Christ, not counting man’s sins against him. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s Ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us (2 Corinthians 5:18–20).

Congratulations, ambassadors. God has taught to trust in the documents of the realm and told us how to use them., …put your trust with the Gospel…not as pleasing men, but God. (1 Thessalonians 2:4). The same verse tells us God will hold your speech to a higher standard.. While accomplishing that, you must be in the world but not of it: They are not of the World, even as I am not of the World" (John 17:16).

God charges us: empowered by the Holy Spirit, we must take the message of our king to the ends of the Earth (Acts 1:8), imploring men and women to be reconciled to God. This is a responsible position, and God will equip us for it.

Make me know thy ways, O Lord, teach me thy paths (Psalm 25:4).

Whenever I take stock of my walk with the Lord, my attention always settles on the mental pictures of ambassador and apologist. I picture both as warriors. Most believers fit the scriptural definitions of these two models. They require commitment and preparation as well as continual interaction with the Scriptures and the community.

When we think of an ambassador, we picture a man whose life is lived with a purpose.. We should be aware of who we are and who we represent. Never leave room for speculation.

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of good conversation his works with meekness and wisdom (James 3:13).

This verse from James addresses the fact that ambassadors need to be knowledgeable and equipped to communicate through relationships. We’re also taught how to treat the people we are sharing The Gospel with.. Being knowledgeable is the part of the ambassador’s role called apologetic. Apologetic is both a defense and an explanation for Christianity.

For he rescued us from the domain of darkness, an transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13).

    FOCUS

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us, we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Ambassadors are mentioned only briefly in Scripture but have a major and complex role in God’s plan. Although God is not limited in
