Lost and Found - Alix Gardiner

    Chapter 1

    Teddy.tif

‘’Hi! Is anyone out there? Can you help me? I’m lost’’.

‘’I don’t even know where I am, who I am, though I think I know my name at least, and my age.’’

‘’I am an antique, almost a hundred years old and I was much loved.’’

‘’I remember being loved.’’ I have a gold tag on the purple ribbon around my neck that says 1918. It reads I am an original Teddy Bear.’’

‘’I must have been very expensive when I was new. And I wasn’t really for playing with. Most bears like me are usually kept in their box. But my original family took me out of the box, and never put me back.’’

‘’My arms and legs are a little longer than the bears of today, and my body is more of an oval shape.’’

‘’My fur once golden and silky soft has lost its softness due to being cuddled so much. I am faded to a sort of muddy yellow, and I have dirty feet and Hands.’’

‘’My name is Ted-e. How do I know that? You may ask. Because it says Ted-e 1918, on the tag. Not sure what the e stands for. Could be Edward I suppose.’’

‘’I belonged to a little boy named Charlie, I also belonged to his Dad when he was a little boy and I belonged to his father. So I guess you could say I’m a hand me down.’’

‘’This is what makes me an Antique.’’

    Chapter 2

    I have been abandoned.

For over a year I have been sitting on a shelf in the Lost and Found store room. What’s a Lost and Found store room? You may well ask. So I will tell you. ‘’It’s where thing’s humans forget and leave behind, get taken until they get claimed.

Someday, some time, if they are very lucky and their human remembers them they will come to the lost and found and claim them.’’

‘’It gets very dusty on the shelf and sometimes spiders spin webs over my feet.

I was abandoned at the Airport, not sure which one, I’m only a bear and don’t know my airports. I am waiting for my family to return and get me. I’ve waited a long time. I think it
