The Greatest Grandmother - Varvara Canada
Prologue
My main reason for this story is my great grandma Martha First. I’ll admit she’s purely mean, hateful, and dislikes me. But even though I may say hurtful things. Deep down I love her, and I just wish she’d understand that what she says and does hurts me a lot.
She hurts my mom, dad, me, and both my older sisters Vicky and Deborah. But I can understand from their point of view. She’s 83 years old, and she thinks she’s a 12 year old. But she’s not. She’s old and needs to live in a nursing home. But my mother says otherwise.
Chapter 1
It’s your turn now
When I was born my great grandmother’s frown was one of the first things I saw. When I was just seven years old she banned me from her beautiful mansion. She never wanted anything from me. To her, I was a thorn in her side. To her, I shouldn’t have even been born. But I was, and she refuses to accept it. I just wish she’d understand all the trouble I’d go through to make ends meet. But to this day she still refuses. Until she drove to my high school in her Black 1933 Franklin Olympic 4 DR. Sedan.
Who is that old fancy woman?
a couple of girls whispered in the hallway.
Ms. Viper, Ms. Viper to the office immediately,
the principal said over the loud speaker.
Okay, an old fancy woman and she has a bone to pick with me,
I thought to myself.
Ms. Abigail Viper,
the principal said again over the loud speaker.
It’s Gail Viper!
I yelled as I entered the office.
Abigail Ferrari Viper watch your tone!
yelled an elderly lady walking in back of my principal.
Grandmother, what are you doing here?
I asked.
I’m here for you young lady,
my grandmother said.
And its Madam not grandmother,
she said as we walked out to her car.
My grandmother was a very strict woman. She did not care that how she said things sounded like she was yelling. She would tell you to say Madam
