About this ebook

Winning is about more than the final score. An athlete has to seize the moment. Just because you dont take the victory lap doesnt mean youre not a winner. This book is intended to make a lasting impression. I hope that this book will be on the bookshelves of every coach, athlete, and fan. I thank God for giving me this vision.

    Respecting the Game

    Teamwork

Sports teach you to mature as a player and person. The most important game you’ll play is the game of life. I’ve broken down how to win and what it takes to win into pertinent details. The book will benefit coaches, players, and fans. This book will show a player that, in order to be successful, he has to be more than a good athlete. He has to be a student of the game. A player who understands the mental side of the game has a distinct advantage over his opponent. Winning is an art and a skill.

Energy, passion, and the love of the game all translate into the will to win. The will to win is about heart, soul, and character. There is nothing stronger than willpower. The will to win is psychological warfare, where the players with the most desire and passion for the game come out on top. There is no quit in the word team. Where there is desire and commitment, there will be results. The will to win is the mental game within the game. Ask for no mercy and show none! All champions have one thing in common, the will to win.

Winning starts with a philosophy. Cultivating a winning attitude is a need to succeed. Successful teams resemble each other. A team must have a good self-image and no self-doubt. A good coach and a good environment add up to a winning tradition. A winning team has confidence and swagger. A winning attitude is contagious. Every team needs a combination to succeed. That combination includes power, speed, youth, and experience. Victories are easy when everybody does his job. When a team controls the tempo, they control their own fate. Turn anger into intensity! Winning gives a team a feeling of exhilaration and pride. Expectations will evolve into excitement. Winning teaches a team how to come together for a common goal and purpose.

    Motivation

Motivation is emotional energy. It is the internal desire to be the best. Motivation is making others believe what you do. Motivation is recognizing a sense of urgency. Motivation is looking forward to a challenge. Motivation is when your instincts, emotions, and intensity naturally take over. Motivation is a mental rebirth. It is when certain words inspire action. When a player is motivated, he becomes more focused.

The objective in developing a will to win is to get better, stronger, and wiser with each victory. Every game takes as much mental preparation as it does physical preparation.

Life is a marathon. Set a precedent, and live by it.

    A Legend

A legend is a special breed of athlete with the ability and desire to take his game to the next level. A legend is a beloved hero and a quintessential professional. A legend is a player that has an unparalleled
