    Chapter 1

    Introduction

According to the word of God, mankind was to live forever without ever having to worry about dying, but because of disobedience mankind face eternal death and punishment. All that was required for eternal life was for Adam and Eve not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. God had given instruction to man before he created the woman out of him and placed him in the Garden of Eden to keep it. (Gen 2:16-17) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. King James Version (KJV) 1He said to him the day that thou eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good in evil thou would surely die. But thanks be to God that when he sat up creation, he set up redemption. (Genesis 3:15) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. 1 (KJV) This is the reason God gave his only Son (Jesus Christ) to die in our place so we can have eternal life. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:15-18) KJV ¹

This is why the need for salvation is so important. Without salvation, mankind has no hope of having eternal life and we will be facing spiritual death as well as physical death and eternal damnation. Therefore, paradise was lost because of the Devil or Satan. It will be regained by Jesus Christ once the Devil is destroyed. There will be no more sickness, death, pain, or disappointment. The need of salvation is for whosoever wants it. It is a free gift from God by accepting Jesus Christ. You don’t have to be lost because you have the right to the Tree of Life. But to reject Jesus will cost you your life. You have already been condemned and sentenced to death without any hope. You will suffer the consequences that God has in store for those who reject his plan of salvation. In the book of Ephesians Paul stated salvation like this "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9 (KJV) ¹

Who caused this great sin which effect the whole world and everyone and everything that existed from the time of Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Satan spoke to the woman and said to her that she would not surely die if she ate of the fruit of the forbidden tree that God had said for the man not to eat of. Because of Satan, who was lifted up in proud in heaven, decided one day in Heaven that he would lift up his kingdom above God because God had given him some authority and power so he thought he was better than God. So God had him cast out of heaven and a third of the angles fell with him. They were his followers. Those angels are called demons because they chose to rebel against God and side with Satan. It is a dangerous thing to follow someone that is up to no good when you know what the right to do is. Don’t be deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever God says he is going to do, He will do it.

    Chapter 2

    What is Salvation?

"Salvation means deliverance from the power of sin; redemption. In the Old Testament, the word salvation sometimes refers to deliverance from danger (Jer. 15:20), deliverance of the weak from an oppressor (Ps. 35:9-10), the healing of sickness (Is. 38:20), and deliverance from blood guilt and its consequences (Ps. 51:14). It may also refer to national deliverance from military threat (Ex. 14:13) or release from captivity (Ps. 14:7). But salvation finds its deepest meaning in the spiritual realm of life. Man’s universal need for salvation is one of the clearest teachings of the Bible.

The need for salvation goes back to man’s removal from the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3). After the fall, man’s life was marked by strife and difficulty. Increasingly, corruption and violence dominated his world (Gen. 6:11-13). When God destroyed the world with the Flood, He also performed the first act of salvation by saving Noah and his family. These eight people became the basis of another chance for mankind. The salvation of Noah and his family was viewed by the apostle Peter as a pattern of that full salvation which we receive in Christ (1 Pet. 3:18-22)

The central Old Testament experience of salvation is the Exodus (Ex. 12:40—14:31) Much of Israel’s worship of God was a renewal of this mighty experience that brought them from tyranny in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land (Ex. 13:3-16). The mighty saving power of God was demonstrated dramatically as the Israelites formed a holy nation of priestly servants of the Lord (Ex. 19:4-6). The Exodus became a pattern of salvation by which God’s future deeds of redemption would be understood.

But just as the Exodus symbolized their salvation, the Captivity of the Israelites in Babylon was a disastrous return to bondage. The people responded to this plight with expectations of a new and better Exodus (Is. 43:14-16) in which God would forgive their sins and restore their hearts to faithfulness (Jer. 31:31-34).

This hope for a new Exodus merged with expectation of a full realization of the rule Of God (Ezek. 36:22-38). Since God was Lord and had shown Himself to be righteous and faithful, He must one day overpower His enemies and perfect the life
