    PREFACE

This story came about from the contents of my imagination by the stories that were told to me from being a child. To start writing the story I put myself into a scenario of what I thought it would be like to have come from a Kingdom such as Heaven: A journey that far outstretches the imagination and envisaging various encounters of worlds and existences, incorporating wisdom within the supernatural.

Through my childhood years of imaginings and dreams of such stories, I am drawing upon creation through the reflection of myself, my beliefs of absolute Beings, Gods and Spirits, through magic, love and war. I have tried to capture the essence of life itself and what makes us ‘tick’, using fundamental parts of the mind and body and of the soul within.

I have kept a balance with nature and logic through this enchanting story of tales of fantasy

    FOREWORD

To write this book there was no starting place as such, and I therefore jumped straight into the story from where I was in my thoughts at the time.

However as this story unfolds, answers are uncovered allowing the reader to be immersed within the contents. To me a good story is where your imagination is allowed to fill in the details.

A mystery of being intrigued, brings about a fascination with the events within the story.

I have not gone into great lengths in the details, just enough to make it clear of what has taken place, giving the reader their own sense of adventure amongst the words I have written. A kind of self freedom to relate and express ones own mind and imagination.

Contained within the story, is a variety of feelings and emotions, both happy and sad, yet bringing in a rich positive blissful excitement to the reader, all amounting to having a magical experience throughout the book.

I do not want to reveal anything here regarding the story, as each chapter contains its own uniqueness. What I can say, is that this story will capture you into being a part of the story, and I have thoroughly enjoyed writing this book, as much as I hope you will enjoy reading it, finding your own self spellbound within the pages of the adventures of Christella.

    CHAPTER 1

    The Journey

A long time ago I left The Kingdom from where I was born. The Kingdom was an enormous palace that sat on a hill, containing thousand upon thousand of rooms, with huge surrounding gardens that were encompassed by a single white fence, with white gates. The situation of me leaving The Kingdom occurred when one day as I was sitting in a huge room that contained a tapestry that filled the whole room from floor to ceiling, I noticed that The Tapestry wove itself as it was magically spirited and contained in full detail all of the events that had ever occurred from the beginning of time of Creation. So whilst I was gazing at The Tapestry, I just happened to catch out of the corner of my eye a blank spot, a kind of unwoven part. In this void through an intuitive perception, I somehow caught a glimpse into who I am, or what my name is at least, even though this particular part of The Tapestry had not yet been woven.

After the revelation of this insight I had by seeing into The Tapestry, a thought occurred to me! Ahhh, The Gates! Let’s try seeing if I can leave this time. For quite sometime now I kept on seeing a light far off in the distance and I felt compelled to go myself to see what this light really is. ‘If only The Gates to The Kingdom would open and let me out.’

In the past I had attempted to leave The Kingdom numerous times, but had always never been unable to leave. I decided to walk down the long path towards The Gates. On the way I was thinking that I hope this works, that I have ventured on this journey a number of times now, and it always took months to walk down the path and even longer to walk back up to The Mansion. Finally I reached The Gates.

Set within the stone pillar of The Gates there was a chalk board which required names to be written on it in order for The Gates to open. I wrote the name that I had previously seen within the void of The Tapestry on the board. Somehow The Gates knew the names of all the residents, of which there was a thousand, but whom had already left The Kingdom and therefore it seemed I would be the last one to leave. To my great surprise as soon as I had written on the board The Gates opened. I felt afraid to leave the grounds, as a spooky a sensation ran right through me, but cautiously I lifted my foot up and passed it through The Gates’ threshold. At this, The Gates spoke. I had heard them speak before, so this did not surprise me. The Gates said…All that was… All that is… All that is to come… Is within you.

Somehow a jolt struck me, a feeling to withdraw my foot, but my balance was over extended. It was too late, my foot had already touched the ground on the other side just for a split second, and as I retrieved my foot The Gates disappeared. I looked around and everything was gone! The Gates, the white fence, all the grounds, including The Mansion. Everything had completely disappeared.

At this point I noticed there was no daylight, all the light that I thought was daylight was in fact emanating from myself. I then felt a bleakness all around. And I could only see what was barren land and curiously the strange light far off in the distance. I set off towards the light, I kept looking back to see if The Mansion would re-appear, but it never did.

After many months of walking the voice of The Gates continued to echo over and over, ‘I am The Mansion and all that was.’ I kept thinking, ‘What does this mean? If everything has disappeared, how am I to get back to The Kingdom, and what about all the people that have gone missing?’ There was nowhere for them to return now. The bleakness of the surroundings did not help at all, only adding to the sombre journey.

I was haunted by an earlier event of a little girl I had seen when I was in The Kingdom. I believe apart from me, she was the last of the residents to leave The Mansion. She told me to never leave the grounds of The Kingdom, the tears in her eyes told the story. The horror of this memory left me feeling great regret at having stepped over The Gates’ threshold. All I could see were the tears of the little girl running down my own face. What have I done? I thought.

All I could do was focus on the light ahead and to try and get there. This light that was emanating from me lit the way ahead, all types of terrain lay ahead, from grass to forest to sand and snow, every type of ground was here. I could also hear noises at the edge of my light, these noises sounded at least a good few miles away, although I could not see what was making the noises, they sounded like some kind of wild animal, that wanted to get to me and ferociously rip me to shreds, this was a very daunting prospect. On closer inspection whatever they were making the noises would not enter my light field. I felt relieved and very fortunate at this awareness. During the many miles of walking, I had a lot to think about and it occurred to me that if I am The Kingdom, then there is no need for it to still be there anyway. This concept and its realisation soothed me somewhat.

About fifty years later my journey was taking me closer and closer to the light. I could see some cliffs in the distance, and I also noticed my light field around me was getting smaller; the further I walked the less and less light I seemed to emanate. The wild animals were still in pursuit of me, and had been during my entire journey. I still could not work out what they were, but I started to see their shadows more frequently. Whatever they were, they were big!

At some point and some place during my journey to the light a cliff edge appeared. As I looked down the cliff about half way I could see a figure sitting on some rocks, so I clambered down the cliff face to get a closer look. To my surprise this figure was infact a skeleton! As I got closer to this skeleton, it turned, looked at me and said, Oh, I thought no-one was left. He paused, then whispered to me, Choose a tunnel.

    What! I answered, stunned.

Choose a tunnel the skeleton replied, Hearts, Diamonds, Spades or Clubs. After a long and in-depth conversation with the skeleton, I found out that these tunnels led to four valleys and these valleys were like the four suits of a deck of playing cards: each of the valleys represented and were made up of one of the four suits of cards. It was told to me the tunnels shrank you down in size, into a miniature world.

I then asked the skeleton, What is that light? and I pointed to where the light was emanating from.

He said, Ah, that my friend, is Christella. She is a beauty isn’t she? The skeleton told me that Christella is a cruise-ship hotel: an inter-galactic station of trade for the people of the valleys; a mutual point with a harmonic balance, built upon sacred ground.

How do I get there? I asked.

It is easy, go through one of the tunnels or just fly across, he stated with a curious emphasis on the word ‘Fly.’ I did not like the method of these tunnels, they were like the water slides at swimming pools. Apparently you just slid down the tube then shrink in size en-route, and arrive as a new born baby in one of the four valleys.

As I was thinking about this, the skeleton jumped up from the rock he was sitting on, then pushed me off the cliff face. To my amazement I only fell a short way, then just floated in mid air. ‘Incredible’ I thought,. I could actually fly. ‘I just wish I had known about this earlier, it would have saved me a lot of walking.’

The skeleton then said, Before you go, I would like to point out, that there is a war going on over there in the valleys. He continued to explain to me that he was once from the boat Christella, and had left in search of The Kingdom, where I came from, and that he got trapped at the cliffs, and had been there ever since. ‘If it was that easy to get back to where he came from, via the tunnels, why was he still here?’ I thought.

A war. What is that? I asked. I had never heard about war before, so I was not familiar with these acts. He told me that war was where people kill each other. Again, I had not heard of this ‘killing’. He then gave me a full lecture about the meaning of life and death, and especially the nature of war, this to me was very intriguing. But imagine, my first friend in the whole universe was a talking skeleton!

Please can you tell me the story about Christella? I asked.

He said, "From a long line of ancestors, there was a couple called Richard and Sandella they are the current occupiers of the cruise-ship hotel. It is built on Holy ground. The ship is enormous. Over twenty times the size of the earth! Christella had everything you could possibly imagine, and contained thousands upon thousands of rooms. Christella it was a world unto itself. Christella was the most pristine and beautifully inspired ship ever created! It catered for all species. As a long time ago thousands of people had taken refuge there from the war zone areas.

Then one day a baby girl appeared. The creation of the cruise-ship hotel, Christella, was so unique that the ship bore its own child and they named her Christella. She was a consciousness that came to life as a real living being. I told the skeleton that this is what happened to me at The Kingdom, where I came from that I was borne of The Mansion. But now I am all that is left as The Kingdom had vanished as soon as I had stepped outside of The Gates. The skeleton looked at me quite fearfully, and asked me my name. I told him my name, then all of a sudden he collapsed and died. ‘How can a skeleton die?’ I thought.

I was all alone again, so with my new flying ability I decided to visit Christella for myself. I was there in no time, covering the huge distance in moments. I landed on the ship and gave quite a few people a startle at my arrival. I was not sure that the people on board the ship had ever seen anyone fly before.

On board Christella, what an amazingly beautiful wondrous place, it was just how the skeleton had described it to me. All of a sudden a little girl appeared. She asked me how I got there. I said Hello, I come from a far off place and pointed in the direction of the cliffs far away in the distance. The cliffs were that far away you could not actually see them.

The little girl said, You must be hungry, come with me and I will get you something to eat. Eat, I said, What is that?

You know, food, you must eat, she replied matter-of-factly.

I have never heard of this food. What is your name little girl? I asked. She smiled and instead of answering my question she simply said, Come with me. Yes I know I will take you on a tour. I was surprised at her suggestion as I had thought earlier about asking her if it would be alright for me to take a look around. She must have read my mind. She then walked away across the deck of the ship, her eyes signalled me to follow. So I followed. She took me down long corridors and into countless rooms and we talked about the hotel. The sheer size of this cruise-ship was unbelievable. I then asked if it was stationary. Yes, this is sacred ground, the little girl replied.

Then I asked her, Is your name Christella? She put her finger over my lips, Hush she said "No strangers are to speak my name. How do you know my name? she asked.

Well, surprisingly, a skeleton told me, I said. She burst out laughing, her bright shiny eyes and big smile was so captivating. For the first time ever, I was standing face to face in front of another person. I then laughed too. She thanked me for bringing such joy to her, and said she had to go as her parents were expecting her. Very well, I said, I will continue looking around. Christella asked me if I needed a room. What for? I said. To sleep in she replied. What is sleep? I asked her and she laughed again then said, You are very funny. follow me. She then took me to meet her parents.

Richard and Sandella are a very pleasant couple indeed. I remembered the skeleton telling me their names. They invited me to stay for dinner that evening. Christella laughed out loud and said, He does not eat food.

Richard replied, You are very welcome to join us regardless. As I sat at the table with them watching this activity called ‘eating,’ I found it very funny to watch.

After they had finished their dinner, Richard asked to talk with me. He took me to his study. This was a very rich and grand looking room and one could
