In Loving Memory of Barbara Wilson
Passed away 29/7/2013
This book is dedicated to her.
It is a sad day in many respects, cut down like a flower in the fields, but will blossom again in new surroundings. God, our Father has taken one of his precious souls to blossom again. There are no words to express this sadness which is left behind us. Good night and God bless.

Life and times of Barbara Wilson
One of ten children born 20/ Aug
1938, was born in Leeds
A place called Foley Lane
Beeston, she was a pleasant girl
Her mama and dad thought the
world
Of her, when Barbara was 16 she
met a man called Matthew
Of all places outside of a wedding
shop- they like each other, but her
dad did not approve her new boy
friend. Owing to silly rumours
which he found out to be untrue-
they fell in love and got married
And produced 4 children
Eldest was called Matthew after
his dad, then came a girl called
Elaine, then Chris, and then
Mark who was the youngest
Barbara worked very hard
In those days had 2 and 3 jobs
To make ends meet
Matthew her husband went to
become a Psychiatric Nurse
And trained for three years
And became qualified RMN
His wage in those days was very
little, ₤6 a week before qualifying
But we made the best of what we
had
food on the table and second hand
clothes until Matthew wages
Improved, we were happy family
Then Barbara had woman’s
condition, had an Hysterectomy at
38, was also told she had thyroid
Trouble - Lived down Burley
And the moved to Cuttingly
Estate - Barbara loved to play
Bingo and went at the weekends
Barbara lived at 110 Cuttingly
Approach for 20 years or more -
Then moved to Cuttingly Gardens
Owing to Mark who was
assaulted and was rushed in to the
A&E at the LGI
Mark was in a coma for 6 weeks
and ended up being brain damaged
His mama was divested with this
news, she went and visited him every
day while he was in hospital
Barbara began having severe pain
in her back and was sent to have
pain injections in her spine, but the
Dr who administer the injection
placed the needle in the wrong place
and immediately her back move over
Causing her to have Stenos is
To correct they operated on her back
putting some form of scaffolding
To correct this curvature
But did not work, she now is bent

She developed Cellulites in both
Her legs and as to have them
dressed everyday, to top things up
had an x-ray and the found she has

now as being terminally ill and was
Told she hasn’t got long to live some
say days others say weeks
Everyone in the family are very
upset about her condition
But she is a fighter and as a strong
will, but her condition is progressive
She refused to have a syringe driver
attach to her arm asked if she would
like to die in hospital or at home
She said home, visited by
