    Once again, I am reminded of just how blessed I am to have Jan Trost and Amy Hobbs to advise, edit, proof-read, and encourage me throughout the entire process of writing each of the Rosita books. Thank you both for your faithfulness.

    And, once more, I am totally amazed at the incredible artwork of Eugen Gorean. Thank you so much for giving your best for our books.

    I thank God for the marvelous talent He has given to each of you and for your generosity and willingness to share these blessings with me in this children’s ministry.

    For unto us a Child is born,

    Unto us a Son is given;

    And the government will be upon His shoulder,

    And His name will be called

    Wonderful, Counselor,

    Mighty God,

    Everlasting Father,

    Prince of Peace

    Preface

    In this third book of the Rosita series, my goal is to tell the wonderful and powerful story of the birth of Jesus Christ.

    For those children who are already familiar with the Christmas story, may this book serve to ever remind them of the true meaning of Christmas.

    For those children who might not know where and how Christmas began, my prayer is they will learn what Payton Margaret and Rosita learned when they visited the Old House with Sarah and Mary.

    Chapter One

    My name is Rosita Conchita Consuela Flores. My Sarah gave me this beautiful name many years ago.

    From the first day when I arrived at my forever home in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, my life with Luke and Sarah has been one of overwhelming happiness and love. I know from the care and affection I have always been given that I am loved and wanted. I know this is where I am supposed to be. This is my home and my life’s work is here with my Sarah. Luke always helps us, but it’s my Sarah and I who are on the cutting edge of our calling.

    The three of us have traveled as a family to many places and have had lots of wonderful adventures. Along the way we have met and visited with old friends, and we have also made tons of new ones. In all of our travels I have never seen Luke and my Sarah treat
