What We Really Want: The First Faith of the Future
()
About this ebook
from the prison of belief in dogmatic systems which strip you of your
personal power.
The goal of all religions began with the desire in the hearts of
men and women to know God and to feel His protection from higher
dimensions. Sadly enough, many of the resulting dictates have reduced
the human family to slavery, while satisfying the egocentric needs of
church leaders. Your pleas of help may rarely appear to reach any
kind of assistance, but the truth is that we are always divinely connected,
protected, and directed. Believe it!
What do we really want, anyway? We can acquire the riches of the
physical, material world only to discover that we are empty that they
havent fulfi lled our needs at all. Only after owning assets which we
gladly discard for peace of mind can a person understand that emptiness
(often called the existential vacuum.) Life can have no meaning without
the spiritual dimensions which are necessary for us to feel like our real
selves.
What makes your heart beat? What force breathes your body for
you? All the many systems of our bodies which continue to function without
our help ask the question of the mystery which sustains a human life. How
do we explain our beingness without a connection to the Divine?
The faith we need to develop is in answer to these puzzling questions.
Creative and loving, making our future days by our attitudes today, we
need to be grateful for the sustenance of our heavenly parents who love
us, whether we understand the whole picture or not. It is all a divine
comedy drama farce or tragedy. What do we want our lives to be?
God is always present when were aware.
The sense of connection within our own hearts and souls allows
us companionship and security above and beyond all else. That will
never be taken from us, since it is inviolate and ours to be treasured by
ourselves forever.

THE FIRST FAITH OF THE FUTURE
Attitude: to assume a non-judgmental approach to all conditions.
Mission: to improve the quality of life of each individual, incorporating symbols from all faiths, (especially the heart,) as they apply to one’s daily encounters; disciplining one’s thoughts toward the perfection that exists throughout; acknowledging that life is a drama of one’s own making.
Different from other religions: no central dogma to be followed, as one is the leader of his/her own religion.
How to convey this concept to others: to underline the mechanical aspect of behavior while endorsing observation
as the means of separating what’s real from what’s programmed via conditioning.

A few years ago when Roger Sperry won the Nobel Prize for his work with right-left brain discoveries, a milestone in the field of religious/scientific thought was created. He wove religious ideals together with those of sociologists and politicians, bringing the whole subject of religion down to earth.
We were reminded that our differences are far smaller than our sameness, and a multidimensional approach to the human condition took form.
Moreover, during recent interfaith dialogues around the world, intolerance has been discussed at length, with the regrettable admission that violence is at the heart of most religious experience. The exclusivity of one group in contrast to another is responsible for the fervor and rigidity which caused the Holocaust and any number of other wars fought in the name of conviction to some principle.
Sadly enough, forgiveness is much easier to come by than permission. Acceptance of differences among various groups who demonstrate their beliefs passionately may have been increasing, but the freedom to pursue their beliefs openly in areas where others’ views are in opposition, is much less agreeable. The time has come, however, when acknowledgment of our differences is necessary in order for the human family to survive.
Stewards of the human race recognize the terror of ego-soul encounter which can easily shatter and terrify a person in his personal quest. It can be a violent enterprise to face the awful moments when we are forced to leave the tattered edges of our lives behind in order to find peace. Furthermore, to find the means to hold that
