    POETRY

    RAINBOW IN THE CLOUDS

i saw a rainbow in the clouds

    having coffee on the sand

    a smoke and me

off in the distant water were clouds

    and there out of nowhere

    a half rainbow

    from clouds to the sea

i thought gee just for me

    then came to remembrance

    the rainbow covenant

    the lord gave us all

that the floods would not return on the whole earth

    others past by

    but did they see

    the rainbow and me

i did not want to call out

    to anybody

    just relished the colors

    fading in and out

    till it was gone

    no doubt!

    A STEALER OF KISSES

    she steals my kisses away

    i go to blow one

    to another across the room

    and she intercepts them

then i am kissing her again

    she just steals them

    we once had a thing

    then time separated us

    but shes’ there

to come out of no where

    with a hand when

    i blow a kiss again

    always for another

    stealing all my kisses away

    one day i say

    i’ll get one through

    to a sweet little new

    and i’ll think

    she probably will know

    kisses are merely a blow

    across the room

    when i am stealing away

    from you!

    FEATHER ME PEN

    in old days

    it was ink and feather

    to press against parchment paper

and it would go on forever

    freedom of thought

    to express whatever

    some were laws

    over love or war

    but mostly freedom

    so we strive for

    all on ink and feather

    to one day

    we’ll all be together

    under the sun

    or moon or stars

    and this will be heaven

    so cry no tears

    its been done enough

    look to the future

    of ink and feather

    and freedom forever

    SWELLING OF THEE EYES

    i look beyond

    the ocean and i

    the amber pulse

    the red eyes

    awoken to the touch

    the ocean waves

    to see the seagull

    on an amber day

    the wind plays

    with the trees

    today

    though as i sit

    my eyes swell

    in the ocean

    today

    gazing around

    with hope to fly

    yet i sit like

    a seagull

    on the ocean swelling

    tide

    THE BATTLE OF WORDS

    people always say

take a side in a day

whether you believe them and say

its a battle over words today

    they slander and copy

    anothers testament

    and pull it through

    to thier own

    does anybody still have

    an individuals grab

    of being a snow flake

which means no two are alike

    but then again

    whats the difference

    they say only god knows

    so its everyday stuff

that’s exchanged as what you know

    then and again

    it’s a battle of words

he is either wrong or right

    but then again

    does he know the word?

    THE DIFFERENCE

    dust to the devil

    water to the dayspring

    serpent to the devil

    rainbow to the dayspring

    fire to the devil

    heaven to the dayspring

    lies to the devil

    truth to the dayspring

    darkness to the devil

    light to the dayspring

    lust to the devil

    love to the dayspring

    whore to the devil

    wisdom to the dayspring

    the mark to the devil

    a tatoe to the dayspring

    death to
