I give the glory, the honor, and the majesty to God Almighty for granting me the courage to write this book. God created all things both plants and animals including herbs. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herbs bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every fruit trees for your food (Genesis 1:29). In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:2).

Hezekiah’s illness (2 King 20:4-6 and 7)—The Priest made a mass poultice of figs (It is like ori) and applied it on the boil and the King recovered and God added 15 years to his life.

Foreword

Millions all over the world are suffering from various eating disorders. Most of these people have mountains of health problems ranging from high blood pressure to diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, fertility problems, etc.

In Africa-Nigeria to be precise, there is nothing close to the medical/health care sophistication that exist in the developed world. But still Africans are not experiencing the kind of mind-boggling health problems that exist in the developed world. Most of the degenerative diseases encountered in America and Europe are spreading fast to the developing world. The major causes of disease in Africa are poverty, malnutrition, and famine. Most crops in Africa are grown on organic soil. Africans and Asians rely more on herbs to prevent and cure diseases that defile medical solutions even in America. Obesity is rare in Africa, Asia, and especially French countries due to their indulgence in herbs and wine. Records have shown that vegetarians all over the world are healthier than those that feed more on animal products.

As a specialist with a doctorate in applied biology and having acquired all these experiences and knowledge on natural human health solution which have worked for me and the people in Africa and Asia, I decided to put these health-solution information on the paper in order that people could read and apply them for the welfare of human race.

Most importantly, thought pattern affects your overall wellbeing. Degenerative diseases are characterized by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness; the feelings that you have been victimized by factors beyond your control that you have no power to change. The healthy person do actively take care of the things that are infinitesimal and has the zeal to say no I am not going to waste my energy worrying about things beyond my control. Learn to control your emotions; an individual thought can instantly impact the body via the creation of a neurotransmitter or hormone.

The body mind connection is a two edged sword. The Bible says we have the right to be angry even to be angry with God but don’t allow the sun to set on your anger. Get angry and let it go. Your nature requires resolution and happiness. We need a happy, contented, peaceful state of mind and to appreciate the beauty of nature as an expression of Divine intelligence and love. Being like God with contentment has great gain; not that we have all what it requires to be alive but to manage what we have and move on with positive hope. Our thoughts and feelings will amplify the beauty of our world and the health of our body that can be enjoyed.

But if we are unhappy, mad with ourselves and blaming the world and God for our mind generated and perpetuated misery, the physical results can become quite destructive to our mental, emotional and physical health. Coping with why one feels a certain way can help to resolve negative emotion but the antidote is ‘acknowledge them, meditate over them and let them go’. Help yourself to release the tension in you. Forgive others and practice true love.

The true fruit of the spirit is love. Follow after love (1 Cor. 14:1). Love is the fulfillment of the law (Rom 13:10). Love comes from the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5). Such love; real love never fails (1 Cor. 13:8; Prov. 17:17). It is strong (Song. 8:6). We must keep it genuine (Rom. 12:9). Eloquence, generosity and philanthropy are worthless without love (1 Corin. 13:1-3). No other motive can be substituted for love; everything we do must be done in love (1 Corin. 16:14). Love evokes love by loving the unloving. Love stimulates goodness by loving the bad. Love generates fruitfulness by loving the barren. Love provokes submission by loving the rebellious. Love creates beauty by loving the ugly. Love takes the initiative and responsibility and if it fails to evoke any response it does not blame the one who is the object of its love however unresponsive that one may be.

Love never fails. Love never grows tired. Love never makes excuses out of circumstances. Love never quails before the price of loving nor finds the sacrifice too great. Love provides a language all men can understand. Love never out dates itself. God evokes our love by loving us (1 Jn. 4:10, 19; Jn. 21:15-17). Our love shows itself by our obedience (Deut. 11:1; 30:16; Jos. 22:5). It must be whole hearted (Matt. 22:39). Love under-girds all other fruit of the spirit and all become seen at their strongest in the life of Christ. Learn more about Jesus Christ; may be this is the antidote you need.

One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure Village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. He then became an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He did none of the things usually associated with greatness. He had no credentials but himself.

He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only property He had on earth, His clothing. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Twenty centuries have come and gone and today He is the central figure of the human race. All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that… .

Introduction

Prescription drugs have come a long way in treating debilitating diseases. But presently, medical problems have been threatening us most for a long time and prescription drugs/synthetic/inorganic chemical medications from pharmaceutical firms/Doctors clinic have complicated the whole situation on the ground. Millions of lives have been destroyed and many lives cut short. Germs that cause diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis and other serious infections are quickly becoming resistant to antibiotics and other medications. The biggest health problems we face today are chronic degenerative diseases including allergies, arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular (heart) disease, chronic pain, colitis, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, mental illness, multiple sclerosis and viral infections among others.

Natural Remedies

(Biblical Perspective)

Wisdom is the principal thing/supreme; therefore get wisdom (Proverb 4:7). And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverb 1:7, Psalm 19: 9; Psalm 31:19). There is a saying that Cleanliness subdue or buries diseases, the second is like unto it Cleanliness is next to Godliness (Deuteronomy 23:9-14). Lifetime of good health is part of God’s provision for mankind. When God created Adam and Eve there was no sickness but after the fall of man, mankind inherited death and ill health (Genesis 3). In the ancient time humans have no specific solution to diseases and infections. Humans were at the mercy of nature and they live by chance. But when humans turned back to God things began to change for better (Genesis 4:25-26; Seth).

In the Old Testament, God revealed to the Hebrew and Moses the importance of hygiene and clean environment for good health (Leviticus 15:1-13; 50-52). Mildew is a dangerous disease in the house; it can grow anywhere in the house and dangerously affect the lungs, skin, liver, and kidney (Leviticus 13: All but 40-46, Leviticus 14:43). God also revealed the importance of plants to the Israelites (hyssop, cedar wood, fig, aloe, spices, cinnamon etc.); water and minerals (scarlet yarn) for the prevention, treatment, and cure of diseases (Leviticus 14: 3-5).

The Priest always ensures that the people are always in a good state of health and in case there was a noticeable infection or emission; it must be promptly reported. Infected or sick person were usually isolated and taken care of until such person recovers.

God also punishes people with diseases and sickness when they sin and rebel against God’s authority. Israelites rebel again Moses (Numbers 12:10) and made idol and worship it in place of God (Exodus 32:35). Also the Egyptian plague (let my people go saga).

In the course of time idolatry and paganism became the order of the day. People including (God’s people) turned away from God and relied on their own wisdom. As a result millions were killed by diseases and plagues.

Examples: between 12th and 18th century, even in the so called developed world, diseases and plagues were able to spread through population very quickly because people had no knowledge of disease and its causes. There was no sanitation, the streets of the town were narrow and filthy, houses were small and dirty with little air, people wore thick woolen clothing that were rarely washed. People did not realize that these were the causes of disease spreading. By 1349, there was the record of Black death plaque in Asia which spread to Europe. Black rats covered by fleas were the carriers of plague germs. Within 3 days it wiped out as many as 1/3 of all the people in these countries.

Over the course of time, we also have snail flu, avian flu, malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, parasitic diseases, cancer, AIDS, etc that have killed millions of people. It was on record that Abraham Lincoln’s sons—Edward Baker Lincoln died on February 1, 1850. He was then listed to have died of Chronic Consumption, but is now thought to have died from Madullary Thyroid Cancer. William Wallace Lincoln died Feburary 20, 1862 of Typhoid Fever. Thomas Tad died July 15, 1871 with no confirmation as to why, but is believed today to be because of Tuberculosis. Typhoid fever is common in the developing world, where it affects over 21.4 million people.

Like Josiah did when the Priest found the book of the law and put aside idolatry (2 King 22), similarly, the men of God by the turn of the 17th century up ward returned to the bible and the law of Moses. They applied the word of God and began to change for better. Again humans realize the importance of plants (hyssop (Leviticus 14:4-5), cedar wood, fig, aloe, spices, cinnamon etc.) water (water therapy) and minerals (scarlet yarn) for the prevention, treatment, and cure of diseases. The use of more plant species was discovered all over the world.

2 King 20:4-6 and 7 Hezekiah’s illness and recovery was recorded; the Priest prepared medicated mass poultice of figs (like ori) and applied it on the boil and the king recovered. Not only this; 15 years was added to his life. We have to wait upon the Lord. Isaiah 40:31—But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. What more can I tell you? Psalm 34:10—The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

For a person to function normally, the body anatomy and physiology must interlace in equilibrium. For the body to function right, we must feed our body with the right amount of nutrients. Not this alone, the body digestive systems and enzymes must be in a balanced physiological and biochemical state.
