Rulers of the Darkness

    From the time that Satan spoke to Eve through the serpent in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1; Ezekiel 28:12) until the day the Devil and his angels spend their eternity in the lake of fire (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:12). They have been busy bringing about the death, destruction, and demise of every man and woman, saved and unsaved, through the power and capabilities that they possess.

    In the book of Ephesians chapter 6:12 God’s word says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This scripture gives us, who are called of Christ (Rom 1:6) an admonition that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world these are demon spirits. Demon spirits are very cunning, adept, and proficient at manifesting their powers of influence in the lives of mankind. And every Christian should know, or need to be made aware, that a demon spirits job is to try to steal your love, joy, peace, health, sanity, and ultimately they are out to take away your (that are called of Jesus Christ; Rom 1:6) life and put your soul in hell.

    The Bible is filled with accounts of demon spirits manifesting their power against men who served the Lord, with tragic ending to themselves or others. The Word of God shows in the book of Job how Satan killed Job’s sons and daughters (Job 1:18-19), servant’s (Job 1:15-19), stole and/or killed his livestock (Job 1:15-18), and smote Job with sore boils from the crown of his head to the sole of his feet (Job 2:7) believing that Job would curse God to his face (Job 1:11; 2:5).

    In the book of 1Chronicles 21:1 God words say that Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. After David accepted that thought from Satan 1Chronicles 21: 2-4 shows that David "said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.  ³And Joab answered, The LORD makes his people a hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then doth my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?  ⁴Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem". After this was done and Joab reported back to David (1Chronicles 21:5) God was displeased, he smote Israel (1Chronicles 21:7), and seventy thousand men died (1Chronicles 21:14). The reason why the men died over what David did was because Israel wanted a king to rule over them (1Samuel 8:5) instead of the judges and prophets that God would anoint to reign over them (1Samuel 8:7). So then Israel would become subject to what the king does whether it be in righteousness or sin.

    Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve apostles picked by Jesus (Matt 10:4; Mark 3:19) and had been given power and authority over all devils, to cure diseases, preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). In Luke 22:3 and John 14:27 it says that Satan entered into Judas, and he betrayed Jesus. After he betrayed the Lord Matthew 27:3-5 says  ³Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, ⁴Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, what is that to us? See thou to that.  ⁵And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself". Judas Iscariot an apostle picked by the Lord Jesus to preach the kingdom of God, heal the sick, and cast out devils is now in hell awaiting to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ at the great white throne (Revelation 20:11) to be judged, and then condemned to die a 2nd time in the lake of fire (Revelation 2:11; 20:14-15)

    The book of Hosea chapter 4:6 says My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. These demon spirits have been wrecking havoc and destroying the lives of Christians because we have been ignorant of them. So now the Word of God is going to unmask the enemy and reveal to the body of Christ (Rom 7:4; 1Cor 10:16; 12:27) who these demon spirits is, what their manifestations are, and how we can loosen their assignment off of our lives.

    There are 13 strongman evil spirits (Matt 12:28-29) mentioned and/or spoken of in God’s word that will be examined. 11 demon spirits are specifically mentioned, one has its manifestation spoken of and the identity of that manifestation is given after. And since the Word of God says that he is not tempted with sin, nor does he tempt any man (James 1:13) that manifestation therefore is from an evil spirit. The last evil spirit is in fact a conglomeration of evil spirits (Mark 5:9). Now before the names of the 13 strongman evil spirits can be revealed the words principalities and powers in Ephesians 6:12 must be defined.

PRINCIPALITIES

    In Ephesians 6:12 when it says that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities: a principality is territories where demon spirits exist over every gathering place of mankind and rule over. In order to explain this I will have to give an analogy of the U.S. military structure, then go to the book of Daniel chapter 10 verses 13 and 20 that shows an example of what Ephesians 6:12 says, and then define principalities".

    At the very top of the Chain of Command is the Commander in Chief, who at this time is President Obama. Any man or woman who is elected president automatically becomes the commander in chief of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Below the Commander in
