About the Author As a child, I possessed an inquisitive mind, seeking answers to all the mysteries to be discovered, through a long journey of coasting through changing tides, passing moons, and rising sunsets. I, as an explorer, strived to reach that peak of the mountain in discovering love, knowledge, peace, and truth along the trail, before my feet. I was an outsider, looking in, studying through observation, the open doorways that guided the lamp, upon my feet, along new pathways. Rather than be a follower, I strived to be a leader. I learned that the only way to acquire knowledge, seek hidden truth and grow in spirit, I must take the necessary steps toward my God given vision of helping others. I worked toward applying my knowledge, experience and world travel , as effective goal strategies in reaching my destination; this journey along a road of discovery, lead me into the oceans of the deep seas; within these seas, I found the treasures of my heart, leading me into applying my academic knowledge, world travels and faith toward reaching my destination. My main objective is to serve as helping hands for the homeless, the elderly disabled and children battling terminal illness. Upon receiving certifications, such as: BA degree in Psychology from U.C Davis, advanced certifications in Massage Therapy, Criminal Justice certifications and masters level of Theology, I was lead into the idea of initiating a non-profit charity business, called Maas's Helping Hands Outreach Ministry Inc. My vision is to continue offering treasures, found within the deep seas, as I continue to publish, serve as healing hands, and produce gifts of art and children’s clothing for my non-profit charity business. My first book, Come Discover the Unveiled Hidden Treasures of the Deep Sea, following my second novel, Rescued By the Hands, of the One True Light, will inspire every reader as each discover secrets to peace, joy, strength and healing, as each travel along the road of faith, reaching their dreams.

I give thanks to God, in the name of Jesus, for granting me the knowledge, wisdom, and faith to overcome hardships, fulfill dreams, and to serve as helping hands, for the sick, brokenhearted and the homeless population; I reflected back on my life and my life purpose and calling, and I realized it was to serve as Gods messenger, servant and soul seeker. My job and primary mission was evident, from this day forward, following several angel encounters and near death experiences that my path and chosen destiny was to do the work of a saint. As God’s good and faithful servant, my job became very clear and a powerful will of the human mind. This deep vision was to give back my thanks to God for saving my life from hell and eternal suffering and for helping mend my broken wings and tainted spirit. I was to achieve this gift of love, returned to God, by teaching and serving the children, elderly, disabled and the homeless know the word of God.

Upon this journey, along the road to self discovery and hidden treasures, I approached a mountain that was necessary to climb, in order to transform my dream, into a reality. As I reached the peak of the mountain, upon sailing the distant seas, the power and hand of almighty God carried be through, in fulfilling my goal of publishing books and donating art.; as God directed my spirit, by the breath of the living God, I succeeded in touching the hearts and minds of the people; furthermore, I learned to open the eyes of their hearts, to the power of God. Through the hands of faith, the feet of willpower and determination to fulfill my ministry in helping the homeless, the Lord put it upon my heart to spread the message of truth. God granted me the gift of visions and divine revelations. I am being used to serve as God’s instrument, in helping end the ignorance and suffering of this world. I thank him for the strength and the courage to move the mountains in my life, so that I am successful in publishing my first book. My spirit was lead, as an author, artist, and ordained minister, to apply the knowledge and gifts that God has favored me, and to give it, as charity, to the people in need. I hope to feed the people, gifts of truth, righteousness, wisdom, and faith, so that all truly see. I thank God, in Jesus’ name, that I have overcome the storms in my life, the broken wings, and the hunger for righteousness and truth, have been found through the eyes of Jesus. If God could carry me through the storms and pick me up, after I had fallen, he can repair your broken wings, as well. Just hold on to hope, faith and miracles, for I have lived many miracles, to see the power of God, in my lifetime. He has never let go of my hand, from the day I was born, until l the day he takes me home, as I enter his pearly gates, and streets of gold. God not only saved me from death and darkness, but he changed my heart and mind, for eternity. All hope is through the way, the truth and the life, through Jesus Christ, the son of God! Believe, and you shall see the power, resurrection and eyes of Christ, offering hope to all who walk in faith, hope, and love.

Lastly, I would like to offer thanks to my grandpa and dad, Carlos J. Maas Sr. and Jr. for making all things, possible, through the blessing of God. I thank them for their financial support, so that I may proceed with my dream of publishing books and establishing a non-profit charity business for the homeless, low income.

As I pondered the purpose of my life journey, where I was heading, where I originated from, and where I shall return, I was like a human being, without eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to forgive. I was a lost soul, seeking to find my way in this world; like a blind man, I stumbled through the darkness, striving to feel my way along the walls and sidewalk, or like that wandering sheep, searching for her Sheppard. No matter how much money I possessed, or whatever materials I acquired through life’s journey, I felt as if I was like an empty well, searching for someone to satisfy my thirst or to fill the unsettling void, within me. As I stood in the light, I only recognized the darkness and emptiness within my soul; I cried out within the depths of my soul for my savior, someone to deliver me from the wilderness within my heart. The grounds within this heart of mine appeared desolate, parched and naked. There were no trees and roots to thrive within these soils, nor did these grounds contain springs of living water. I had not yet learned how to sow and reap fruit or how to prepare harvest upon this earth. Before I was delivered from death to
