There are so many people I am grateful to have in my life, and being able to say thank you to them in this book is a blessing. As I write these acknowledgments, I am presented with the challenge of keeping this section from doubling the size of this book.

For 12 years now, I have been married to the most supportive woman on the planet, Isha Von Gretchen Miller. Lady, I love You! I thank God for you every day. CHAPTER 1

Enjoy God’s Better Blessings

For a long time, I had no idea that God truly wanted me blessed. As an average individual going to church, reading the Bible only from a religious standpoint seemed to only produce average results. Later on, I learned that it is possible to live life beyond that of the average. Have you ever longed for God to touch your life in a new and special way? Did you know there is a definite way that you can obtain HIS BEST, and enjoy His blessings everywhere you turn? The Lord showed me one day that He has SOMETHING BETTER for every believer in His Word and that includes me. In this realm of BLESSING, your life can be lifted to a higher place. Then you can enjoy the blessing in every area of your life. Wouldn’t that be nice?

* With rising inflation—you will have plenty!!!

* During the energy crisis—your oil will keep flowing!

* In a long cold winter—your house will have heat!

* As the world’s money shrinks—your dollars will stretch!

* When food stores are low—your shelves will not run empty!

That’s what I’m talking about. It’s called living the blessed life. You have to be prepared to declare those things over your life as well.

Look at Deuteronomy, Chapter 28:

As you move in line with God’s will, He says His blessings will overtake you (v. 2). That’s right, His blessings will overtake you. Are you ready for that?

Wherever you are…

God says you will be blessed in the city or in the country (v. 3).

Whatever you do…

God says you will be blessed in the fruit of your life (v.4).

Whatever you have…

God says you will be blessed, in your basket and store (v. 5).

Wherever you go…

God says you will be blessed, in your coming in and going out (v. 6).

You may think: It’s too much for me to believe. But it’s actually far short of what God has for you!! In the book of Hebrews we read:

But now hath he (Jesus) obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the MEDIATOR of a BETTER COVENANT, which was established upon BETTER PROMISES—Hebrews 8:6. I’m telling you, that covenant also includes you. But you have to believe it!

In the next chapter of Hebrews we read:

He ever liveth to make intercession for us—Hebrews 7:25

Now in heaven, ascended to the right hand of God, Jesus continues His ministry as our mediator assuring us of our blessings in better covenant.

These blessings include all that Jesus provided as our substitute at the cross. Hallelujah! That is something to shout about.
