    CHAPTER 1

    In the courtroom

All rise… the honorable Harry B. Lee Jr. presiding.

    You may be seated.

(Picking up papers) We are here today to determine how much of Terrance Miller’s estate should be awarded to his biological son Mark Miller. (Leaning over his bench and pointing with one finger). Ladies, I’m warning you, as we discussed earlier if either one of you disrupts these proceedings, I will eject the both of you from my courtroom and make the decision myself. Do I make myself clear?

They chimed in, Yes your honor.

"Ms. Sasha Holly, I will have no, absolutely no outbursts in my courtroom. This is not The Maury Show nor any street corner. Your attorney will do all of the speaking for you until you are called upon as a witness if he deems it necessary."

    Yes, your honor. Holly replied.

Ms. Kaylou Snyder, I am aware of Rent-A-Man. (Pointing at the jury box) Those 12 people in the jury box will be deliberating to find out how much of your business assets be awarded to the plaintiff if any. The judge boomed.

Mark Miller’s attorney, Mr. J. O’hara Jackson said, Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the plaintiff Mark Miller is the only son of Terrance Miller at the time of the disaster 17 years ago this particular fact was not known at that time. But since then DNA tests were ordered and it was determined that Mark Holly (as he was known at that time) was in fact the biological son of Terrance Miller at which time his name was changed to Mark Miller.

Looking extremely serious the judge leaned over his bench and said,

    "Mr. Jackson, we are not here to deliberate whether or not Terrance Miller fathered Mark Miller;

I have the DNA results here. (Tapping the papers with one finger) The jury will determine how much of Rent-A-Man’s assets should be awarded to him because now we know that Kaylou Snyder was not the sole survivor of Miller’s Marketing and Licensing Company. Both parties had a 50% stake in that company."

    Proceed.

    Yes, your honor. Jackson said.

Kaylou Snyder knowingly or possibly unknowingly employed a minor in a business that was bordering on being a brothel. She rented men like tools; much like a lawn mower or a jig saw. Tools! Ladies and gentlemen tools! At the time of our nation’s worst disaster she used men like inanimate objects and what’s worse employed, (pointing at the plaintiff) Mark Miller in that sordid business. Therefore, we pray that the jury awards Mark Miller 50% of the assets of Rent-A-Man.

(Mr. Jackson turned and pointed to the jury) As you are well aware, 13 months ago the Russian’s failed in their attempts to take over our country. This was a time of total devastation and Mark’s mother, Sasha Holly, had fallen on hard times, finding it difficult to take care of him; Mark took matters into his own hands and ran away from home and right into the clutches of Rent-A-Man. At 17 years old, he is still a juvenile, a minor, someone who is not responsible for his actions or any contracts that may have been signed. Mr. Jackson scanned the jury box and said. I appeal to you parents. How many times has your teenagers signed something, broken something or said something that landed them in trouble? Just think about it and ponder on it for a little while. We as parents are responsible for our children until they are the age of maturity, our government sets that age as 18. Mark could not vote, enter the Armed Services or sign any contract that would be binding because he was still legally a child. Please consider that in your deliberations. We pray you find in our favor.

The judge said, Defense call your first witness.

Your honor, I call—Kaylou Snyder to the stand. Ms. Snyder please raise your right hand. Do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?

    I do.

Explain to those that do not know about your business known as Rent-A-Man.

"Yes, your honor. Rent-A-Man was born because of the disaster 17 years ago. I opened the business to help women who lost their men in the disaster and I paid them and treated them like celebrities. They had sous chefs, masseuses and all the amenities people of privilege could ask for. There were
