The Violet Chapeaux
Once upon a time, there was a little garden.
In this garden, was a musical Fountain that bubbled and gurgled happily all the long day.
Seated next to the Fountain, was the statue of a Lady smiling and looking down at a basket of beautiful violets that sat at her feet…this picture was almost perfect…except for one thing ~ many, MANY years ago, on top of the Lady’s head, was a beautiful Violet Chapeaux (a hat) that was held on her head by long, satin ribbons.
Where did it go…and WHY?
