Pretend that the WIND blew these by!
Yet know in truth that it was I.
I’m the author and artist capturing tales with lines;
creating couplets and shapes that celebrate rhyme.
Tis a joy to write in verse, I’ve found.
So please enjoy these words and sounds ...
TIPTOE THROUGH THE TOADSTOOLS
Once upon a time today,
to begin this special rhyme in May.
Under mushrooms, tiny toadstools,
between our willow and oak tree,
an inch high imp just happened to be.
Beneath a sky wearing world-weary gray, while
ambling my meadow-bound way,
on a moment when the sun peaked through,
before clouds came and its smile withdrew. The
winds were spreading the echo of a laugh. A
sunray caught his imp-size shadow slipping past.
