About this ebook

While in the world we have come to understand that there are many gods with many followers leading to many religions, the truth of the matter is that not all the gods are all right and true at the same time.

One God has to be the right one, making him the true one as well, and all the rest of them have to be wrong and false gods at the same time.

The One and the Only book will help all of us reason in discovering who this right and true God is, but most importantly, this book will challenge those that claim to be acquainted with this right and true God, not to keep him for themselves, making him a private property and preventing the rest of the world from accessing this God by dictating who can come to him and who cannot, but on the contrary, they will be reminded of their responsibility to share him, and to be the bridge of the people to this God without being an hindrance.

In The One and the Only, we will have to come to the conclusion that nobody can privatize God or control him, but all of us in each of our own ways can relate and personalize this God in our lives.

If there is One true God, then He must be the one and the only God for everybody, and He must be accessible for everyone who so want him in their world.

Whether we are a believer in a higher power or not, whether we are a believer in evolution or not, whether we are a believer in a creator or not, and whether we are a believer in nothing, the bottom line is that as human beings, we were created to believe. Our drives, motivations, and excitement in life are based on belief.

Our belief system is the core of our lives, and it is our belief system that will separate us from being successful or not in this life, and even in the future life if there is one.

The question that now arise is which belief is the accurate and most efficient one. Because we have different kinds of beliefs, and each believer of their belief ought to believe solely in their own belief and be convicted and convinced of it. Whether we deal with Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics, Christians, Hinduism and even atheists, each group has a belief system that they all believe is the right one to make it through in this life.

Everybody acknowledges that there is a need of some form of higher being or power that one will need to make it in life. Surprisingly, even atheists will tell you that they believe in something, even if it is not necessarily God. One cannot face this life alone. One will think they can face life, but let life deal something at them, such as sickness or any other tragedy, and you will discover that the individual who may not have a belief system then will run or request higher power for healing or deliverance.

Besides answering the question of the right belief system, the next question to answer will be to find who this higher power is that one or everybody runs to in time of need. Whether we like it or not, we will have to answer these questions either in advance or after life blows against us.

Except from the atheists, every other individual on earth believes in a god. Now the next question is, which god is the right or true god? You will tell me that your god is the real god, so will the Muslims, so will the Buddhists and the Catholics, so will the Hinduism’s believers and the Christians too. We have spent countless hours trying to convince the other group of our god being the right and true god. In fact, the multiplicities of religion that we have today are caused by our own view of our own belief system.

In Muslim communalities you will discover that there are many different Muslim views. In the Christian communities, you will have the same issues, and that explains why today we have the Baptists, we have the Methodists, we have the Church of God in Christ, we have the Catholics, we have the Lutherans, and so on and on and on. All these religions were born or came into the picture because individuals had their own view of their own belief, and while believing in their own beliefs, they discredited everybody else’s as a prank.

The reason this book was written was to reason with all of us while trying to answer all the questions that one will have about their belief system and come to a conclusion that Him alone, he is God

    Part One

    God

    Chapter One

    Knowing Your Creator

While we understand that there are many gods, we need to accept the fact that there is only one God, or let me say one real God. Some gods are worshipped by their worshipers, and so is the real God. Not all the gods were there at the creation, not all the gods created the world, and not all the gods created the human beings. There is only one God that created it all. There is only one God who was there at the beginning, and there is only one God who will be there when all is said and done.

In the first book of the Bible, in the first chapter of Genesis, in the first verse, it began by saying, In the beginning God… This statement indicates to us that it all began with God, and if it all began with God, then God alone has the in and out of the creation. God created all, and in Him alone can all be sustained and established. No one has ever counseled God at any time, and if no one ever counseled God, then no one can direct or redirect or even correct God in His ways.

God is the one who began everything. If God began everything, and if God created everything, then in order for us to make it in this earth that God created, we need to have God on our side. We need to make sure that this God is at the center of our lives.

Let me point out right now that among all the gods that are mentioned above, no god has ever made claim such as the God of the Christians. The God of the Christians is the only one who has ever claimed to have created the world. The God of the Christians is the only one to have declared that life began and one day life will end. While all other gods are focused on being worshipped by their followers, the God of the creation has always allowed His creation to know Him and choose to follow Him based on their determination.

While other gods of all kinds of beliefs dictate to their followers to follow them, the God of the Christians is the only God that gives His followers the choice to follow Him or not.

Now let’s pause here and reason. A creator of a creation or creatures giving his creations or creatures a choice to serve or worship, and even choose him or not, this in itself is unheard of, and this itself separates this God from the crowd of gods.

While the crowd of gods seeks for worshippers and followers and uses all kinds of tools to dictate them and uses all kinds of ways to manipulate and control their followers to never leave them, the God of the Christians is the only one, again, who literally gives His followers a choice.

Giving a choice: When we talk about one giving you a choice in life, that shows confidence on their part that they are who they are and they can do what they say they can do. This choice that is given by the God of the Christians is a choice that is never challenged or changed. This God, who is the only one to have created creation, is now the only one who can go to the length of giving His creation a free choice to choose Him or not.

As mentioned earlier, when you give someone a choice to choose you or not, you put your life or your existence in their hands. One must be full of confidence to do such an offer
