About this ebook

We are living in momentous days, historically significant, yet the world seems oblivious that the march of time and prophecy has brought us to the culmination of the fulfillment of the most spectacular, portentous, cosmic events since the Flood of Noah.
In chapter I, St. Peter confirms this culmination in fiery judgment on earth and a renewed heaven and earth, thus proving that (contrary to current teachings of science) the invisible things of God are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Russia is very important and appears in Scripture in a dominant aggressive role, Chapter II. The European Union and areas of the Old Roman Empire are again in world prominence and the Antichrist will rule them as the Scriptures foretold, Chapter III. Persia, (Iran) too is central in the prophecies. The Arabs have historically been inimical to Israel, as seen in Chapter IV. The origin of Palestine is historically interesting. Britain and America do play a role in Scripture, the final Chapter VI should be informative and interesting to speakers of English.

    PREFACE

The purpose of this work is to call attention to remarkable events happening before our very own eyes and exactly as the prophets of old and indeed the entire Bible predicted thousands of years ago. Some misinterpretation (caused by mistranslation) as to the cosmic nature of the end of this Age of the Proclamation of the Gospel is an important point in this treatise, as it shows the nearness of this end and the current conditions prevailing at the time. Indeed, this work stands or falls on the warning and the firm declaration that the words of Peter (2 Peter 3:7, 10-13) that the earth is reserved unto fire at the judgment and destruction of ungodly men, refer to the time of the Coming of Christ on the Mount of Olives at the end of the Great Tribulation and not to the final judgment of the lost in Revelation 20:11, 12, or even later, as many great expositors have conjectured. A thousand years separate these two events. After the Rapture of the saints (those who have the Spirit of God within—I Corinthians 15:51-55), there is the Great Tribulation of seven years, ending in Christ’s appearance at Armageddon in the deliverance of Israel. It is therefore quite possible, and likely that all this could come to pass within the next 10 years!

The understanding of prophecy and indeed of the whole Bible stands on the recognition that the things written in the Old Testament are examples, written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world have come (I Corinthians 10:11). The New Testament is in the Old contained: the Old is in the New explained, as someone has well said. The stories and pictures in the Old represent spiritual verities: one starts with the physical and tangible and goes on to the spiritual and eternal. The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows his handiwork. The earth is full of his glory. The invisible things of Him are clearly seen and understood by the things that are made. Christ illustrated his teachings of spiritual things by using earthly, natural and physical examples. In this book pictures are used to illustrate the world of Eden past and future; the nations as trees, varied and different; and physical places where Scripture was fulfilled and will be in the future. Earthly lessons transfer to heavenly conditions. The earth and the Universe reflect the Creator and witness to his laws and person (Psalm 19). It has ever been the purpose of the Creator to show in a physical form the nature and character of the Deity by the things he has made. For this purpose he formed man in his own image. The prayer that Christ taught his disciples contains the words "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The pictures chosen are only a portion of many more in all parts of the world that could have been used, the choice was only among those readily at hand to the writer.

Acknowledgments are made to WordSearch 9 Bible Software from whose work and books of the Bible the quotations of the Bible are taken, primarily from the King James Version, but for the sake of copyright laws, other books, including Greek and Hebrew, quotations are taken from it as well.

It is with much prayerful humility that I present this work on topics that have preoccupied my thoughts and cogitations for very many years of almost daily study and reflection. I believe that I have fairly presented some thoughts that perhaps only a careful study of the original Greek and Hebrew of the Bible can confirm, but not without the aid of the author of the sacred text, the Holy Spirit of God Himself. I hope all will enjoy and profit from these reflections in this life and beyond.

    foreword

"I am well acquainted with Mr. Luke McNab whom I have known for many years as a Bible Teacher and scholar. He has taught material on prophecy extensively and his upcoming publication is obviously the result of serious study and insights into the Bible over many years.

The times in which we live are often pronounced as being ‘end-times’. So that a publication which addresses these times in a learned and Biblically based way will clearly be welcomed by a wide circle of Christian readers as well as others through their anxiety to know about the future... I would be happy to endorse his publication and wish it every success."

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these (Luke 12:27). In this era the spinning wheel was a daily chore to clothe the nation. God’s lilies surpassed all man’s work.

    CHAPTER I

IMPENDING JUDGMENT, FIERY DESTRUCTION, & ETERNAL BLISS—IN 2 Peter 3.

    Introduction

The modern explosion in computer technology and the social media is largely due to innovations using various platforms such as Apple, Microsoft, Android and others. To these platforms are added multiple applications [apps] which determine the capabilities and utility of each. In a similar way various chapters or parts of the Bible can form a platform upon which innumerable applications can be attached, comparing scripture with scripture. One such passage is found in the second and last epistle of Peter, the final chapter. Using this passage as a firm platform, related applicable passages of the scriptures and prophecies fall neatly and properly into place, giving a very clear and precise view of things to come and the end time, these last days preceding the Coming of Christ. Peter begins by writing [italics and bold always by this writer]:

¹ This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

It should be noted that Peter is here emphasizing a repetition of Scripture, a second epistle, with the intent of stirring up the mind, and keeping in focus, the sacred words of scripture. He was well acquainted with the effect of repetition on the mind, remembering such events as his vision being repeated three times, in the matter of Cornelius, and Peter’s own attitude towards eating and dealing with the Gentiles (Acts 10:16). It has ever been the method of scripture as seen in Isaiah 28:13.

¹³ But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

In the Hebrew it is even more pronounced taking the form of a paronomasia where the lines can be read in either direction with the same meaning, only more strongly emphasized.

Yet another emphasis is placed by Peter on the word and commandment of Scripture, being that of the holy prophets, and the apostles of the Lord and Saviour. Furthermore this emphasis can be seen in Psalm 138:2,

² I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

This means that the very character of God, his name, stands or falls on his word. The importance and authenticity of what the apostle now writes is scripturally unchallengeable. He continues to declare that at the end time, in the latter or last days, scoffers would arise, walking after their own lusts and questioning the very coming of Christ and the promise of his return. These declare that all things have been as it was from the beginning of creation; the so-called scientific word is uniformitarianism. This idea is necessary for them to propagate the false idea of Darwinian evolution, which, according to them, would necessitate millions of years to happen. Peter declares that they have willingly forgotten the Flood and the world before that, when the earth was standing out of the water and in the water and by it subsisted, even by the word of God as the waters were held above. (The very presence of fossils throughout the whole earth, even on mountain peaks, confirms the Flood as fossils are formed by hydrology.) The waters above doubtless formed a canopy or shield, protecting the earth from the damaging rays of the sun such as ultraviolet rays, x-rays and the like.  This can explain how men lived for nearly a thousand years before the Flood.

The verse above intimates too that the object of Peter’s message is to stir up the pure minds of his hearers to remember the words of prophecy. This expression suggests that a pure, uncorrupted mind is necessary to grasp the full intent of his message. The Greek word here used black.jpg (eilikrine) means literally, judged by the sun; this refers to the wax used to embellish a work of art. When placed in the sun the wax melts and the true state of the work is then revealed. It corresponds to the Latin sin cera, meaning without wax; from this the English word sincere is derived. Peter too, is doubtless recalling the promise in John (14:26),

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Moreover, the scriptures note that the believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit upon conversion and dwells within and brings back the word of God to one’s remembrance. The natural, unconverted man cannot thus understand spiritual teaching. In the words of the Apostle Paul,

¹⁴ But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned [1 Corinthians 2:14].

The prophetic word can only truly be interpreted by the one who gave it, namely, the Holy Spirit of God. This is done by comparing Scripture with Scripture. No one has a monopoly on this, so more light will be shed as events develop and the full picture approaches fulfillment. The importance of this prophetic word is well expressed by Peter:

    2 Peter 1:19,21 (KJV)

¹⁹ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a
