Chatting Through Business School

About this ebook
I believe my book is at the crossroads of different genres, blending business, economics, philosophy and education. In a nutshell, it represents select excerpts from my online MBA discussions with my classmates. I thoroughly enjoyed our discussions and learned a great deal from them. Similarly, many of my classmates enjoyed my participation and perspective and conveyed their appreciation to me. I hope that this publication is a good read and will entertain many aspiring MBA students and other readers as well.
Anatoliy Ilizarov
I grew up in Moscow, the youngest of a family of five. My father died, untimely, when he was very young. My mother worked very hard, and my upbringing largely fell on the shoulders of my older brother. He had a PhD in chemistry and was a role model for us, his younger siblings. Yet, our mother insisted we both go to medical school. We obliged. My middle brother became a dentist, and I became a neonatologist. In 1992, our family moved to the United States. In 1997, I became a licensed MD and in 2013, I added an MBA to my title.
