Who Are You, Lord? I Am Your Father.
Jesus Christ is the Messiah, as same Buddha have claimed the Mahesima. Jesus Christ is the same healer today as he was over two thousand years ago and will be forever. Mental illness, cancer, and other infirmities are the work of demon spirits.
image001.jpgGod the Father and Jesus Christ are still working every second to hear our cries, listen to our problems, and give peace and love to all who ask and follow his commandments. He will answer our prayers. For God the Father and Jesus Christ never change; they are always the same. God gives us Jesus: he is the way to peace and life eternal. See John 5:17.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved
(John 3:16–17 KJV).
Peter answered them, ‘All of you must turn to God and change the way you think and act, and each of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. This promise belongs to you and to your children and to everyone who is far away. It belongs to everyone who worships the Lord our God’
(Acts 2:38–39).
Introduction
My name is Seng Luong Chao (Paul), and I come from a small country called Laos, in Southeast Asia, in 1960. Laos was in a civil war and then was dragged into the Vietnam War. The whole country fell into the hands of the Laos Communists, who were supported by North Vietnam in 1975. For years the food was short, the country was in turmoil, and the people lived in fear. We didn’t know what was going to happen the next second. Would we live or would we be the next to die? The government was unstable, and there was no justice anywhere in the country. There was corruption and crime in every neighborhood. If the Communists discovered our community, they would kill every man, woman, and child. They would say that we sympathized with the United States government. So we had to escape our country, leave our home and everything behind to avoid being killed. Many soldiers and ex-government workers were captured by the Communists and sent to prison camps. Some were killed. So we fled our beloved country and went to Thailand for safety.
This book is a testimony about Jesus Christ in the world and the battle between God’s kingdom and the demonic kingdom, between the Asian world and the Western world. I had passed through the demonic kingdom, which is different from the Western world. Even though I came from Laos, my ancestors were from China, from a small tribe called Yao. We had held to our traditions for thousands of years without anyone telling us to change, but thank God for sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to me, opening my eyes. And thank the Holy Spirit for giving me understanding.
Some Asian women who are pregnant ask the shamans to call the ancestral spirits to protect their babies and give them good health. After the babies are born, the shamans come back to them, collect the vows, and dedicate the babies to the spirits called tim mienh kuv. Then they make a second vow to protect the babies growing up, but the babies always get sick and become handicapped or even die. Despite this, the women still need to pay for the vows and make sure spirits look after them until they are twelve years old. The non-Christians in America continue the same practice.
My name Seng
means to tie,
and Luong means the dragon.
So, my name is to tie the dragon (the dragon is spirit). My father thought that it was a good name, but I was sick all through my childhood and youth until God released me from bondage. If anybody welcomes an ancestral spirit, another seven spirits or more follow it without asking permission. Matthew 12:45 and Luke 11:26 say that we only need to accept the Spirit of God and the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son.
The picture was taken in 1978. At twenty-one years old, I lived in a refugee camp in Thailand, smoked two packs of cigarettes a day, and drank all the time. I was sick all time. I thought of committing suicide many times because I lived my youth like hell, but God saved my life for a reason and for his kingdom.
