Dr. Julie Vincent
Dr Julie Vincent is an artist, poet, singer, song writer and given the opportunity, a performer. She finished her PhD in Social Theory on mental health service delivery at The University of Melbourne and travelled the world, creating art and poetry as she went. Returning to Australia, She travelled across the top end, creating songs, poems and art works en route. Dr. Vincent lectured at Newcastle University for a couple of years and volunteered in Orphanages in India, a health project in Uganda and attended the World Social Forum in Nairobi. In 2008 she was in an accident that nearly killed her and changed her life. She had a spiritual experience and married an Aboriginal man and found herself in Alice Springs Volunteering with Indigenous kids!

Dr Vincent has nursed in remote locations from Orbost to Weipa and lectured in Nursing at Newcastle University. In 2008 she was in an accident that should have killed her but saved her life. She had a spiritual experience and married an Aboriginal man and has found herself in Alice Springs volunteering with Indigenous kids!
