About this ebook

This book is a must for all. I gladly recommend it. It will bring health to your body and peace and joy to your soul. Your spirit will be nourished by reading this book. Jeremiah 31:3 says, The Lord has appeared of old to me saying, Yes I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you. God is supreme, and his supremacy should and must be acknowledged by those he created. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. What a gracious and loving God he is! He creates life and only he has the power to control life. He gives and he takes. While still alive, allow God in his supremacy and divinity or divine nature to take absolute control of your being and life. You didnt create yourself, he did, and he is able to sustain you in all aspects of your life. Jeremiah 30:17 says, For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord, because they called you an outcast saying this is Zion no one seeks her. Romans 5:8 says, But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Gods plans toward you, his creation, are enormous and resounding. He proves it with the backing of all the promises given in the Holy Scriptures for us to read, claim, and proclaim it because they are words of life and brings prosperity. You Are Cherished is the book to have, to give, and to cherish for generations to come. God bless you as you read. Amen.

    Foreword

It is with great honor and humility to be invited to write the foreword to this book

This book is a masterpiece using Biblical injunctions to illustrate measures to prevent suicidal acts.

After reading the book, I am deeply satisfied and delighted to know the Godly ways out of Suicide. This book is one more valuable contribution to the body of literature on the evil acts called Suicide. The author has well researched the words of God that give hope and assurance of the secrets of wiping away the thoughts and practice of suicidal acts from the mind of men and women.

This publication spread over 9 chapters, with each chapter dwelling richly on God’s admonition to man/woman on the evils of suicide and way to avoid it.

The first chapter started by encouraging us to know that it is only the Bible reading and meditation that provides fullness of life with abundance of peace, love and joy. It emphasises that it is God’s purpose for our creation.

Chapter 2 briefly highlighted facts on suicidal acts all over the world and illustrates that suicide does not respect colour, race, age, sex, ethnicity, religion or cultural groups.

The third chapter ask a very important question saying Why Suicidal?

The author illustrated that only God is in charge of life and death. Therefore He is the only one who should decide when and how the death will come. The chapter emphasis that no man can decide to take his or her life no matter what the circumstances surrounding him. Also the chapter references the Bible in Prov. 16: 25; where it is written that the ways that appear right in the physical invariable ends in death. This confirms the fact that those with suicidal tendencies feel that it is the best solution to their problems, apparently due to ignorance of not knowing and believing the words of God concerning our lives. Also the book tells us that if we allow the light of God to shine on us, our thoughts shall be far away from suicidal acts.

The fourth chapter is titled need for life and living. The chapter exposes the purpose of creation and how God bless man, who he created in His own image. God also commanded man to go out to be fruitful and multiply. The chapter clearly shows that it is not the purpose of God for man to commit suicide. It also illustrates that in the time of trouble for the prophet of old, the Lord God saved them. Reminding us that our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever Heb. 13: 8, this clearly tells us that no matter whatever we might be going through suicide is not an option because our Lord is more than able to deliver us from all the troubles.

The fifth chapter dwells on the role of love in reducing the suicidal acts. An important message in that chapter is what the Bible says about love. According to 1 John 4: 7-8, we should love one another and love is of God and any one that loves is born of God and knoweth God. This simply tells us that if we love each other it is because we know we are born of God and God knows us. It is impossible therefore for suicidal acts to pursue a child of God.

In chapter 6 the author examines the individual role in the act of suicide, and emphasise the importance of caring for each other. The book reminded us that we are important and greatly valued members of the society. The word of God in Heb. 12: 2, where it is written that we must look on to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him accepted the suffering on the Cross and ignored the shame for our sake and God honoured Him to sit on the right side of God interceding for us. This word of God clearly tells us how much our God loves us and cares for us, so that we can’t allow Satan to control our life with the thoughts of suicide. This is attributed to lack of knowledge of words of God. If we care for each other then we will do all it takes to attract our fellow human beings to know the words of God and God’s power over us.

Chapter seven of this book discusses extensively solutions and remedies for suicide. The first aspect the book makes reference to is the Holy Bible where it is written, the thief comes not but to steal, kill and destroy, telling us that the suicide is the devil that comes to man as a thief to kill, however in the same passage, it is written that Jesus Christ came to give us life more abundantly. This tell us plainly that once we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour the thief cannot come in form of suicide to kill us. John 10: 10. In this chapter also, the author emphasises that our faith in God is the key factor that will prevent the devil from stealing our joy. He then goes further that this faith is only acquired by continuous hearing, reading and meditating in the words of God.

The eighth chapter recognises that life is in the spiritual. The author refers us to Psalm 16: 11 where it is written that the Lord will show us the path of life and in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasure forever more. The book further told us that when the spirit of God dwells in us it controls our thoughts, ways and actions. Therefore the individual carrying the spirit of God, will have his/her thought and action far away from suicidal act.

The last chapter urges us to stand firm in Christ Jesus. The chapter reveals the key to stopping the thought of suicide through
