Designing your life is completely up to you. However, structured belief systems take us away from our soul intentions. Some of us feel that we are pawns in some elaborate chess game being played by deities of choice. We are designed to be the masters of our Universe!

Since our belief systems determine our experiences; when we actively change those beliefs, we change our experiences! As simple and straightforward as this is it can prove to be difficult for us to orchestrate when we try to implement life changes. We are beautifully complex beings and all areas must be interwoven in order to effect lasting life changes.

The goal here is to create an atmosphere of heart-knowing, where our teacher within can connect and work with us. Once connected, we will then have the ability to design and re-design our life, world and affairs at will and in trust, love and joy.To begin the journey into "heart-knowing", I have divided this book into three major sections that address core issues or stumbling blocks as it were to our heart-knowing.

To begin your journey into self-actualization you must recognize that you are the co-creator and the deciding factor in your reality and the life you are currently expressing and then you must begin to recognize and then neutralize the emotional blackmailers in your life and finally you are ready to begin a relationship with the Creator of All Things -- a relationship built upon choosing and then anchoring in the Light of the Creator.

Each of these steps is foundational on your path to becoming self-actualized and I have provided examples, and affirmations to assist you in re-designing your current belief-systems and self-talk thought processes. As simple and as straight-forward as it is to "choose this day whom you will serve", our psychological, theological, and sociological "automatic" programming makes the journey interesting to put it mildly.

Life by Design is about taking back your power in joy, love, compassion and more importantly non-judgmentally. It is a blueprint, a foundation as it were for orchestrating your own life expression.

As a small girl growing up in my native Illinois, I was always fascinated by all things magical, metaphysical, esoteric and mythological. I would be swept away for hours reading about the Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesses. I even enjoyed some of the Norse Mythology. Being clairvoyant at a young age and having no one to speak to, it was the writings of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and the early transcendentalists that rescued me and gave understanding and clarity to my feelings and intuitive knowings. These writings made perfect sense to me and at a very early age, I could even speak with my father on some of the ideologies I had interpreted. My writings are autobiographical in nature. And although early childhood and adolescent trauma momentarily distracted me from my path, my writings catalogue those spiritual laws operating in the Universe and my interpretation and application of these laws in my own life, world and affairs. To some of you the information and my interpretations will be new. For others of you, there will be information that you knew but I have provided for you another way to look at it one that may prove to be more practical. In whatever way my writings are of assistance to you on your journey, I am grateful to be of benefit to you. TRILOGY INTO HUMAN EXPRESSION

My Journey Begins

There is always a catalyst, some person, place or event that gets us to move in the direction of our path – something that shakes us up and makes us realize that eternity truly is now – nothing beyond now is promised.

For me the catalyst was the death of Michael Jackson. And, as much as his death was a shock to me, my reaction to it over these past few months have been even more of a shock and revelation. Although I had seen him perform and enjoyed his music, I cannot say I was a true fan in the strictest sense of the word … and yet, my sadness and grief have moved me to finish my book, stop germinating my thoughts and get on with my life. As he sings in one of his songs stop existing and start living.

I have always had so much to say, and I have been studying spiritual topics all of my life – it is all that really interests me. And yet, I was doing absolutely nothing toward realizing my dreams and sharing my thoughts consistently.

Each and every year that I moved up in vibration or discovered another wonderful and useful truth I would want to share, I would become distracted and let the notion pass. I have been writing all of my life and so many of my writings have been lost in moving around this wonderful country of ours.

This book is autobiographical in many respects as I share my revelations moving through this wonderful thing called life. It has been divided into three very important sections: recognizing that we create our own reality, taking note of emotional blackmailers and reclaiming all of the power that has been given over to others and finally anchoring ourselves in the light of God.

Each one of these sections is a topic in and of itself with respect to the discourses that I give as well as workshops that I conduct. This book, Life by Design, touches upon each one of these topics as I have and am still currently experiencing them.

One of the reasons it has taken me so long to write this book is because it seems that every month I discover something new that I want to add. I realize now that there is always going to be some new revelation that will keep me from getting started because life is not static. As we grow and learn, and as we observe and become still, our recognitions and realizations change – and that is the real beauty of our life expression.

The changes in me over these past seven (7) years have, at times, had me feeling I was on some kind of merry-go-round with everything and everybody that I have known most if not all of my life, disappearing! I found that individuals I could talk to on the telephone for hours on end had no interest for me. Not only did I not want to talk on the phone with them, I did not want to hear their voice.

Being ever inquisitive, my sudden aversion to people I had once considered friends merited further non-judgmental review in honesty and truth. It has been a study of energy and vibration. I will be talking about energy, vibration, harmonics and resonance in this book as it relates to our relationships with others. I now assess all things in my life this way – people, places, relationships –— everything that requires my attention.

We are energy beings and understanding this on a soul level has helped me clear away much of the inhibiting debris from my life.

Recognition

Every journey begins with a first step and for me that first step was recognition – recognition of my true essence – recognition of my true purpose – and most importantly, recognition of my role in creating the life I am not only expressing now, but the life expression I desire to have.

For many of us recognition is difficult. We have been led to believe that we are subject to pre-destination and the product of chance and consequence or at the whims of some universal chest game in which we are the pawns. Pre-destination – not hardly! Pre-conditioned and pre-programmed - highly probable!

Many of us would prefer to believe everything is outside of our control instead of recognizing that much is actually within our control. It is only our pre-programmed responses that make us feel that we are subject to the mechanizations of others and that everything is outside of us.

I have come to recognize, that everything that I am now experiencing, or shall experience in the future for that matter, has been set in motion by me.

Understanding that now is the only eternal moment in time and that now is where all change is made and most importantly, understanding that how you express in your now moment will determine how you will express from that moment forward. It is our acceptance of an idea that makes that idea true for us and part of our reality. Change your idea-acceptance and your change your reality.

Who Am I – Really

I am reminded here of a beautiful Nancy Wilson song that stated "I’ve bring around this big, wide, world, but I’ve never been to me." This is so appropriate for most of us and in particular me. I have spent so much of my life trying to be what someone else wanted me to be just so I could be accepted by them.

The real problem with trying to be what others want you to be is that first of all, you never really know just who it is they want you to be. Your definition seems to change with their needs at the time! Sometimes they want you to be this way – the next day they want you to be that way. If there are several members of your household, you will find that each one wishes you would behave and act differently. If you get on this treadmill (and many of us have – and others of us are still on it), you will find it emotionally exhausting! You will soon not know who you really are. And just when you think you have gotten your place in the family pecking-order figured out; you are thrust into the societal and theological demands of your character imperfections to deal with. It is overwhelming. I can surely see how some of us take sedatives just to keep those rose colored glasses on!

Of course, as children, we have no real control over our immediate surroundings. And, unless we are fortunate enough to have parents who understand how to raise self-actualized children – we will have to wait until we are on our own to accomplish the re-programming of our mind.

I began by discovering who I was not! I began to forge for myself my own composite. I began my search by reading up on astrology, numerology, and re-capturing through guided meditations – those life relationship encounters that had left indelible emotional scarring on my heart and psyche. I began to ask myself what I wanted out of this life. And, most importantly, I gave up the need to be right. I surrendered to the higher powers. And surrender does not come easily to someone of my astrological or numerical makeup. But, what a wonderful journey this is turning out to be — this journey into becoming a self-actualized sentient being — the correct balance of emotion, spirit and intellect.

It has taken me years to remove all of the emotional blackmailers from my energy field. It may be easy to recognize them; but when they are members of your personal psychic circle – family, friends, significant others, it is not so easy to remove them. Your self-esteem is tied up with their approval. Your self-preservation has to be paramount if you are to succeed. I found the strength when I recalled one of the Ten Commandments …. Thou shall have no other Gods before me.

I know that I am an individualized expression of the Creative Principle of the Universe. I know that the breath of life that was breathed into my nostrils was that small portion of the Creator, which was apportioned to me to journey through lifetimes of gaining perfection until such time as I return home – back to that Alpha and Omega essence from which I live and breathe and have my being.

As I am an individualized expression of my God-Principle, when I place the desires and wishes of others above my own, then I am placing another God-Principle before my own – to say the least.

And although this statement has been used to admonish against material achievements, and ego
