Easy Rider from the Far North - Arnstein Vada

    ARNSTEIN THE POET

    alone

    by the tarn

    in the middle

    of emptiness

    against the dust

    a bit far-off

    a little protest

    the poetry

    is the Day of judgement

    to itself

    only the

    empty words behind

    like withered flowers

    on a forgotten grave

    THE MATE

    I see a boat

    out there

    the sea is

    enormous and heavy

    in a sudden movement

    the boat rushes away

I have sand in my mouth

    cracks in my voice

    waves with a white cloth

    towards the mate

    with the intense green eyes

    I am on my feet

    in my mouth I have

    an silvershining fish-hook

    cast by an old shilling

    UNFAIRNESS

    dear God

    let me tolerate

    daily unfairness

    and honour

    mister this

    and mister

    that so

    I keep my job

    and may

    live for

    a long time

    in this land

    PROTEST

    a silent protest

    rose in defiance

    against injustice

    before it knocked

    its brain against

    the wall of time

    and sailed away

    on the river

    of neutrality

    towards the sea

    of indifference

    THE BLACK AVENGER

    when bagpipes

    are tuning

    over valleys and uplands

    and the Death Song

    by McKindle sounds

    it`s the justice

    who asked for a dance

    Kings and presidents

    and reactionary parties

    shall loose their gloss

    and
