Late-model Monaro scoops have been a cool-looking modification for Holden owners for some time now but getting them to look right is not an easy task for the inexperienced. In the project outlined here, we take a 2002 Holden VT-VX steel bonnet and mount a $200 fibreglass scoop to it.
Before we kick off, let’s discuss the options, of which there are a few: one is to buy a brand-new Monaro bonnet at $1700, unpainted and not including the scoop inserts; a second is to buy a complete but unpainted fibreglass bonnet.
