Rajkumar is a senior poet; his first book of poems was published in Calcutta in 1975. In 1980, he edited an anthology of poems on Tagore with contributions from eminent poets of Bengal and Bangladesh. In 2009, two of his books were published in Calcutta. One was a translation of Maurice Carmes book Songs of Beginning (from French to Bengali). He also published an e-book titled Soliloquy from www.poemhunter.com.

This is a book of poems by Rajkumar mainly on nature, love, spirituality, and philosophy, chosen and published during last five years. He is a regular contributor to www.poemhunter.com, www.mypoetryforum.com, and www.allpoetry.com. Born in an upper middle-class family with great honor and respect for traditional values, Rajkumar did his post-graduation in commerce from the University of Calcutta. After retiring as a banker, he went back to his first childhood love, poetry. His poems were published in school and college magazines, local journals, and even overseas journals (e.g., PRISM) at regular intervals. During his college and university days, he edited and published a number of literary journals from Calcutta and Purnea, India.
