Anwar completed his B.Tech. in Computer Science from the coveted Aligarh Muslim University. He also completed the Advanced Program in Project Management from IIM, Kozhikode. Apart from having a rich collection of widely published and unpublished Self composed poetry and a rising name in poetic circles, Anwar Jamal has an inherent love for humanity and egalitarian principles.

Mohd. Anwar Jamal Faiz
Anwar Jamal is a young and socially proactive writer who also is a Computer Engineering graduate. He rejoices being a Shaayar, Poet and Writer. In Literary circles, he is also known as Barbar Ghazipuri. An Engineer by profession, Anwar started his career from Tata Consultancy Services, the largest Indian IT Company and served in their Gurgaon and Delhi centers. Later, he made a career move to the Adobe Systems Pvt Limited, the biggest Software MNC in digital publishing software tools. With growing interests in Computer Security, he pursued several courses from IIT Mumbai and IIT Delhi. He also completed the Advanced Program in Project Management from IIM, Kozhikode. Soon, he moved to the worlds biggest Computer Antivirus and Storage provider company, Symantec Software, Pune. With this, Anwar got an exposure to the culture and traditions of South and the Deccan. He left Pune and settled again in Gurgaon, this time in Expedia Inc., the biggest online travel company of the world. With more than a decade of corporate work experience, freelancing, training and consultancy, Anwar harbors entrepreneurial dreams as well. From having restaurants running, including in some malls, he has a few Apps running under his nose. With an early retirement from corporates, he might take up with his new calls. Anwar completed his education from Aligarh Muslim University, AMU, Aligarh. The University is of a world renowned fame and is noted for its culture and intelligentsia. The students have proved their mettle in almost every arena. Following the footsteps or say inheriting the same profile and culture of AMU, Anwar continues the legacy in the contemporary world. Having dozens of awards in School life, in his debut performance at the university, Anwar bagged the First prize in Ghazal Competition organized in Sulaiman Hall of AMU in 2003. Later, Anwar stunned all by grabbing three prizes in a row for English, Hindi and Urdu poetry at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh. It is said that the poetry resided in his DNA for his grandfather was a principal and a writer. His maternal grandfather (Nana) was a doctor and a poet, Uncle is an established poet and author in Karachi, Pakistan. However, it was AMU where his poetry and creative skills nurtured and refined. Anwar, has been convener in many programs and shared stage with many celebrities in the fields of Literature, Cinema and Politics. He has participated in English and Hindi debates since school times and has represented his university, AMU, in the All India Sir Syed Memorial Debate, 2005, an Inter University and biggest debate hosted by AMU, Aligarh. Next, he represented and won for the Aligarh Muslim University, the National Creative Writing contest run by the British Council and the Womens Study Network (WSN). He won the AIEEE chapter debate as well, and organized and hosted several programs and events in AMU. For his achievements, Anwar won a scholarship from British Council and media galore in leading newspapers. He was also recognized and felicitated for his contribution by Mayor of Aligarh. Various works of Anwar Jamal has been published at several places including, but not limited to, leading newspapers, websites and college magazines. Anwar Jamal, has also been published in multiple English, Hindi and multilingual anthologies. His stories and poems have won accolades and places in many print and online media channels.
