CHAPTER 1
Book 2
Treasures of Mankind
They ran as fast as they could until Boy couldn’t run any more.
Boy stopped, bent over, and held her knees; she was breathing very hard.
Shannon noticed Boy wasn’t beside him. He stopped, looked back and saw Boy. He yelled, It’s not a good time to stop.
Boy just looked up at him, breathing heavily.
Shannon walked back to her shaking his head. He said, Come on Boy, we’ve got to go.
Boy was struggling and holding her side, taking deep breaths.
COME ON, BOY!
Shannon shouted.
I’m trying to catch my breath; I need a few minutes,
Boy gasped.
NOT RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING TRYING TO KILL US, IT’S ALREADY TRYED TO KILL YOU!
Why are you yelling at me; I’m right here?
Shannon just stared at her.
Another thing how can you run for so long?
The thought of dying, it works for me,
suggested Shannon.
Shannon turned to see Angie looking relaxed and asked, Why were you running?
Why not?
she answered smugly.
You can talk?
Shannon asked, surprised.
Yes,
she replied. Every angel can talk, run, and fly.
Yes, I can see that, but I can’t fly, and, if I could, I would right now.
Angie shrugged her shoulders.
You forgot how to talk again?
Angie just look at him.
Shannon looked back at Boy and walked around her for about a minute. BOY! ARE YOU READY YET?
Boy looked up at Shannon; she was surprised where they were.
It was the cave where she had found the cross at, it was right above them.
Shannon, I know where we’re at right now.
Are we close to home, Boy?
I wish, but I think I might know a place to hide.
Where?
She pointed her finger up at the cave where she had found the cross; it was right above them. She replied, I can’t believe it’s back open.
The howling grew closer.
Boy and Shannon looked at each other.
Boy got up, and they took off running up the side of the hill. They began to climb as fast as they could. They were crawling and clawing their way over loose shell.
Shannon looked back and saw the jackals were getting close. THEY’RE GETTING CLOSE!
he warned.
Shannon and Boy were almost to the opening in the cave. The shell let loose, and it began to slide from beneath them.
HELP ME, SHANNON!
Shannon stuck the shell into the ground as hard as he could. He held onto the shell and reached for Boy.
Boy slid right by his hand and all the way back down the hill.
The falling rocks struck all of the jackals and knocked them down. As they got up dazed, the jackals backed away from Boy.
Shannon looked up at Angie who was hovering in the air above him.
"Help her, please!" he begged.
Angie just looked at him. Okay I guess, but it will cost you.
Whatever!
As Angie swooped down toward Boy, she yelled, HOLD UP YOU’RE HANDS!
Boy held her hands into the air.
The Jackals began to creep towards Boy.
Angie grabbed her hands. She pulled Boy into the air, just as the jackals attacked. Angie flew Boy to the cave entrance.
Shannon finished climbing up over the rocky ledge to the cave. I heeded to save your behind again,
he said to Boy.
Boy turned and wiggled her butt and replied, You must really like it.
She strutted into the cave.
As Shannon followed her; he notice a hole in her pants.
Uh…uh… you have a hole in your pants,
Shannon chuckled.
I’m glad you noticed it, would you like to look for a thorn?
giggled Boy.
No…well… if you want me to,
stuttered Shannon.
Did you two forget about the jackals?
Angie interrupted. Angie shook her head and sat down on a large rock.
Boy and Shannon just looked at her.
She began to look at her fingernails.
Boy and Shannon looked at each other. Oh no!
they both said. Then hurried back to the edge of the cave. They looked down just to see two jackals getting really close to the cave entrance.
Help me push on these rocks at the edge of the cave, Shannon.
Ok!
As they pushed, boy said, I’m hoping it will cause a big landslide.
I’m hoping it will just come loose,
explained Shannon
It’s not coming loose, shove harder!
shouted Boy.
The jackals were so close, but the rock finally let loose and rolled over the hill. It hit the two jackals and they were knocked down the hill. The landslide slammed into the other jackals; forcing them all to the bottom.
Shannon and Boy gave each other a high five and shouted, Yeah!
But their celebration was cut short when the jackals stood up.
They eyed up Boy and Shannon then, showed their teeth, then began to climb.
Boy began to push on another rock, but it wouldn’t budge. Shannon tried to shove the rock with her. Boy turned and used her backside, but it still wouldn’t budge.
Shannon turned to see Angie buffing her nails against her dress. What are you doing?
What does it look like?
We could use a little help over here.
I better not, I might break a nail.
PLEASE!
Move back in here,
sighed Angie. She got up, walked over to the entrance, she looked up, grabbed a large boulder and slightly nudged it, and the large boulder fell. She pushed the boulder into the opening, sealing it.
Good idea, Angie,
explained Boy.
Yeah, but how do we get out of here, now?
inquired Shannon.
Where’s this cross, Shannon?
asked Angie.
I don’t know.
Angie looked at Boy.
What?
Where is it?
I don’t know, it was right over there.
Look,
Shannon interrupted, I’m not worrying about the cross. I’m worrying about getting out of here. Does anybody else know it’s pretty dark in here?
More dirt fell over the entrance and there was no light. There the three stood in almost total darkness.
I can’t see much of anything now,
explained Boy.
Me either,
agreed Shannon.
I can see everything,
replied Angie.
What can you see?
asked Shannon.
There is an opening a little way ahead of us.
Well take us,
said Shannon.
Hold my hand Shannon, and I will take you there.
Angie took Shannon’s hand.
Shannon grabbed Boy’s hand.
Angie led them to an opening to another cave, told them that this cave went back into the mountain.
Let’s go,
replied Shannon.
Angie took them deeper into the cave. As they walked it grew brighter and brighter.
Boy felt the cave walls with her hand. She looked at Shannon and explained, "The walls are very smooth for some reason.
Shannon just shrugged his shoulders.
The cave led to a big opening under the ground. It was a large cavern as big as a football stadium. There were large bright and colorful glowing rocks. They lit up the whole area like bright lights. In the middle were two massive wooden boats. One of them was a little smaller than the other. There were also many other objects of all shapes and sizes scattered around the cavern.
What’s with the two boats, Boy?
asked Shannon.
The earth must have been destroyed three times, or maybe not, I’m not for sure.
Shannon and Boy looked at Angie for answers.
What?
They just kept looking at her.
Do I look like I know it all?
They just kept looking at her.
I haven’t been alive since the beginning of time.
I thought all angels lived forever,
suggested Boy.
There are angels born every day for the humans who are born every day,
explained Angie.
Thanks for the information,
Boy replied.
They began searching through the scattered objects, they came upon a golden box. Around the box were scrolls, bibles, and crosses, and there was also a statue that looked just like a woman.
Shannon smelled the statue, he licked his index finger and rubbed it on the statue. He licked his index finger and said, This tastes like salt.
That’s not just salt.
What is it?
That’s Lot’s wife, she was turned into salt,
laughed Boy.
Shannon began spitting out the salt, and almost threw up.
Boy laughed until her stomach hurt.
Shannon just looked at her with a smirk.
It must had tasted better than that milk at Bubba D’s.
I saved your life, Boy, remember that.
I’m sorry Shannon; I couldn’t resist.
So what do you think this is all about, Boy?
"It’s all about God’s work, and it’s being hidden from His people’s eyes.
Why?
So it would make it harder for people to believe in him.
Look at this, Shannon; it is the Ark of the Covenant.
It’s beautiful, wow!
Shannon looked down and saw a torch which looked just like across lying among some scrolls. He picked it up and lit it. Shannon walked over to the Ark of the Covenant and stood there looking at it. He reached out to touch it.
Boy smacked his hand.
OUCH! Why did you do that?
Death comes to whoever touches it,
warned Boy.
Why would God make something like this?
He made it for war, and, if you know the words, you may open it.
Do you know the words, Boy?
No.
They both looked at Angie.
Angie just shrugged her shoulders.
Look, there, Boy; it is Noah’s book, and look over there; there is another one.
I think we should get out of here right now,
Angie suggested.
Why?
asked Boy.
Whoever has done this has a lot of power.
Shannon kept inspecting the cavern’s objects, he saw the ring of blood. Come here, Boy; you will not believe this.
Boy came and just stood there looking at it.
How can that be Boy?" ask Shannon
Boy shrugged her shoulder.
I think we should leave right now,
insisted Angie.
Shrieks and moans could be heard in the distance.
WHAT’S THAT?
yelled Boy.
WHATEVER IT IS, IT’S COMING THIS WAY!
shouted Shannon.
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
screamed Angie.
CHAPTER 2
D-O-G
A black cloud came swirling through the large cavern and surrounded them. The cloud broke in half, one half transformed into 100 good looking men, then the other half became 100 beautiful women. They all began to sing. WE ARE THE LEGION, WE ARE THE LEGION, AND WE ARE MANY.
The men and women walked in circles before entering into each other. Each disappeared into the other until just one figure stood before Boy, Shannon and Angie.
The spirit rose and looked Angie in her eyes. His clothes were snow white and he was over 6-feet tall, with long black hair. He had vacant, coal black eyes that turned to blue.
What do we call you?
asked Shannon.
The spirit spoke with a thundering voice. I am God, bow down to me,
he roared.
Hello, Suez Dog,
laughed Angie. You’re still trying to say your second name backwards, I hear."
Dog just looked at Angie and grinned.
Angie smirked back.
Angelina, how did you get to become a full physical being here?
asked Dog. You still have your wings.
God has His ways.
I think, if God knew, He wouldn’t like it.
So how did that whole falling-out thing work out for you Dog?
Dog just glazed at her.
It looks like you lost a set of something, on your way down.
Dog placed his face close to Angie’s and said, I hope you have fun,
before turning his back to her. Beat her to the edge of her life, maybe a cut here or there, but don’t kill her. I want to see her cry and beg for her life,
He opened his jacket and four legions poured from him. They grabbed Angie by her wings and took her away.
She screamed back toward Dog, I SHALL RETURN THE FAVOR ONE DAY!
Dog turned to wave goodbye.
Shannon and Boy could see the two bumps sticking up from his back.
"I shall
