SNOWSTORMS HAD turned my street into something reminiscent of my favorite Currier & Ives prints. The scene was beautiful to look at through the window, but getting around in it was nearly impossible. A plow hadn’t been down the street since dawn, and that was a couple of hours ago. My Lab Zoey looked at me hopefully. She wanted her morning walk. “Two nor’easters in two weeks, girl,” I said. She wagged her tail. “And another one on the way.”
