026.jpgACKNOWLEDGEMENT
For Nate Smith, Chris Melanson, Chris Shoust, Steve Forbes, & Nick Campbell thank you for making my vision possible through aiding in illustration, photography, and editing. I would also like to acknowledge those friends and family who bared witness to my struggles and still supported me even at my most extreme moments. The fact that you stuck by me means a lot. It gave me encouragement to find normalcy once again in life. Those living and those that are dead and gone who were driving inspirational forces for my writing I will carry the torch of my memories of you to light the way going forward. Left right! Left right!

010.jpgHOW DO YOU WRITE THE RAIN?
"At this moment, you should be with us, feeling
like we do. Like you love to but never will again."
-Perry Ferrell, Janes Addiction.
GIFT WRAPPED
I got a gift from God. I don’t know it yet.
But given time, I’m sure, it’ll be a pretty damn good one I bet.
For now, I will let it go before I forget.
So walk away, search for the things you need.
Sprout like a seed, reach towards the sky
I ask why you can’t find
something else to occupy your time.
Instead, you think you control the walking blind,
still searching for that unseen sign.
This is all done to satisfy your soul.
The soul that has already been stolen from you
and although you don’t see it, feel it or touch it.
You lost it long ago.
Stop to think, to talk, and deal with your own self.
It is now time to think for yourself?
To become one. To truly include the rest.
If you master this, then all will be truly blessed.
If you look within you may see why all this bothers me!
There are those with no clue as to what Free
is meant to mean.
Make your decisions, time to become one.
What’s next you say? Well I don’t know yet.
We’ll save that for another day.
But in the meantime
Tell me if your outstretched hand is ever met.
Let the tree of knowledge teach in ways as to how humanity
Could never forget its indiscretions.
In the process, will it uplift future generations
that inherit this Earth?
Will we leave it a wasteland of obliteration?
Or will we leave it a paradise where those who do inherit this
Will live in a utopia of mind, body, and spirit?
I say forget the rest and do your best
to find yourself, your real self.
But maybe I
