Maryann Country

Maryann Country is a native Texan and began her career in the newspaper business in Bay City and then settled in Conroe. She has been writing poetry since her late teens. Even though poetry is fiction, some of Maryann’s poems are based on true life events. She knows that her poetry writing is a true gift from God. Maryann says, “My hand is God’s tool.” These poems are only a few from her collection.   Maryann is passionate about helping others through life’s battles. Her faith in God has filled her life with light and so much inspiration, moving her towards her ultimate dream. She says, “It is never too late to fulfill your dreams.”   Maryann had a poem selected and published in the National Library of Poetry. The religious poem is included in this book, titled “The One On High.” The opening lines are, “God moves in mysterious ways / On the most distressing days” and concludes with the line, “Though the mountains grow to the sky / God the Father is the One on High.”
