INTRODUCTION
O nce upon a time, long long ago in Fairy Land, there was a pretty little fairy named Yellow. She was very small, beautiful, shy and nimble. The Golden Fair, who was her mother, was often busy doing what she loved doing…and that was looking after little Yellow.
On a beautiful spring day in Ever Green Forest, Little Yellow was born. The forest was covered with the golden rays of the sun. Everything was yellow, bright orange and gold, and the perfume of every flower in the forest filled the air. Even the little fairy baby with her tiny hands and feet glowed with the colors of spring. Her cheeks were like pink roses and her tiny lips were like little red rose buds. Her golden hair and tiny golden wings shimmered in the early hours of the morning. Her eyes were like bright morning stars, always smiling and warm, yet at times there would be a gleam of something akin to a naughtiness which was often mistaken for wickedness. In simple words, she was beautiful. She looked a lot like her mother, except for her eyes that would change with her mood.
Yellow grew up in a very loving home. Her mother Golden Fairy couldn’t get enough of playing with her beautiful little daughter. Golden Fairy used to wait with eagerness for Little Yellow to awaken from her baby sleeps, so she could take her out into the sunshine to play with other little Fairy babies amongst the beautiful flowers and tall grass that grew in abundance near their beautiful home.
Little Yellow loved playing with her little fairy friends. She especially loved playing with the many mischievous little elves and goblins that seemed to be always playing in their neighborhood. She marveled at their daring and the stunts they got up to. However, Golden Fairy would not allow Little Yellow to imitate them in any way, instead she got Little Yellow interested in other pursuits like, inviting her little fairy friends over to her room to play indoor games and read stories of adventure about other neighboring forests and the interesting people who lived there.
Golden Fairy was an accomplished musician. She spent many hours teaching Little Yellow to play the violin and harp and even to sing. She was delighted to find her daughter was blessed with a voice of an angel that sounded like silver bells when she sang.
Much to her mother’s delight, it wasn’t very long before Little Yellow was able to entertain their family and friends with her talents when they came to visit them.
Little Yellow was growing into a beautiful young fairy. Golden Fairy loved her daughter very much and was extremely proud of her grace and beauty, that she was determined to teach her from a very early age all she needed to know to help her develop into a refined young Fairy, so that one day she would be fully equipped to marry suitably and inherit the Throne from her Grandmother, The Fairy Queen.
