About this ebook
Love . . . and . . . Hugs is the title of this book, and besides this phrase popping up in the right places, it embodies the feelings of the residents. The history and personalities of the younger generation are heartfelt. They charm their way to making everyone happy while genuinely accomplishing considerate acts.
When I was a teenager, I dabbled in poetry and short-story writing. Since we have moved up north, in Ontario, Canada (not far from Toronto), I enjoyed writing for our local newspaper in the way of an entertainment column, called Our Very Own. This is the first time I have finished a book that I have started and have sequels, which will span the growth of our characters as they add more to their lives.

Born, raised, and still living in Ontario, Canada, I have come to learn that we truly are in this altogether. It doesn’t matter where you have come from or where you are going or even how old you are. What matters is how you treat life and others. When I was little, I played every chance I got. I was somewhat of a tomboy and hung out with friends outside. Summer was the best because the days were longer, and if it rained, we would just put on our bathing suits. Then came the teenage years, where we thought we knew everything and would never admit we didn’t, let alone that we might be afraid or insecure. Now onto adulthood, and I honestly thought I would find my path very easily. Funny about that because sometimes what you think you want is not what comes nor is it what is meant for you. My constant vision was to be a journalist, but things happened, and it did not surface as a career for me. When I look back, I think, Thank God, because back then, I was way more outspoken and would have probably got into a lot of trouble. Being a lady back in the seventies, office work was what most of us were hired to do, and it was here that I developed many skills. I was fortunate enough to meet my wonderful husband, Rudy, who is a true optimist and supports everything I do. So I guess I would say that I have always wanted to write and try to finish a book. This one that is finally completed comes from numerous thoughts and ideas that I learned from life, people, and nature.

It was all in a day of summer fun when Sapphire had the thought of putting together a small play. Her neighbourhood was full of friends to hang out with, who possessed above-average intellect but would sometimes get a little bored. So, on one warm evening after everyone had supper she gathered them up to see if she could talk about this before bedtime. Sapphire, who was a girl of 10 years had an incredible imagination and did not use it sparingly. She was full of ideas and broke open her amazing box of notions.
There were several friends whom she chummed around with and their names were quite unique. Garnet was a boy who had an ability to experience what animals
