Dr. James A. Gordon

Bishop Dr. James A. Gordon is a member of the New Testament Church of God. He has served as associate pastor of a local church for approximately three years; and then he assumed pastor ship and has been in that capacity for four years. Previously he served as a national and international evangelist; for several years he worked with the National Evangelism Home and Mission Team (NEHMT), serving Jamaica, the West Indies, and the Grand Cayman Islands. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Macedonia Cathedral Church of God Located in New York. He is a graduate of the Faith Clinic Institute of Ministry, School of Theology, Jamaica W.I.; where he acquired a diploma certificate in biblical studies. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in theology at North Carolina University; where he accomplished his master’s and doctorate degrees in Christian counseling Psychology, as well as a doctorate in psychology conservative Model, and a Certificate in Diagnostic Statistic of mental Disorders, (DSM IV) from Dayspring Christian University, he earned a Doctorate of Divinity from Trinity Theological Seminary, also a Doctorate in Human Services (Social Work) from Oscar Mount University. He is a certified counselor and he has earned a doctoral diploma certificate with the American Society of Christian Therapists. He is a licensed clinical Christian Counselor. He earned his PhD in philosophy at Conan College & Seminary School of Theology. He acquired a Chaplaincy Degree, from the American International Christians Chaplains Association Inc. He also acquired a degree in Domestic Violence Skills Training, from the Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education (JCCAE). He is a licensed Master Instructor with (JCCAE). He is the founder of the Macedonia Support Network, Macedonia Theological Seminary and Macedonia Christian Counseling Center; where he is currently developing a training center that offers courses in domestic violence as well as facilitators and Chaplaincy programs. He work with trouble kids and adult who are wounded, to bring back wholeness to their lives. Bishop Dr. James Gordon has preached dynamically under the auspices of the Holy Spirit throughout Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands, the Virgin Islands, England, the United States, Cuba, and other countries around the world. Numerous souls have been won for the Lord. He and his wife, Jacqueline, are the proud parents of three sons, Tyrone, Jerome and Teshaun. Dr. Gordon is the author of three books, Purpose under Process, God’s Divine Purpose and Child Abuse and the Coping Strategies.

This will be the light to your path which will enable you to find the source and principle that lead you into your destiny.

How can you know your destiny? What is your purpose? And. . . Once you identify it, what direction should you take to pursue it? The potential that God has placed inside of you must be brought forth in order to accomplish God’s will. There are numerous purposes attached to your obedience. Dr. James Gordon has been anointed and appointed with sensitive insight into Divine Purposes. In his book, Purpose Hidden and Unveiled, he shares the Principles & Purposes in our Calling. I can’t help but to think about how the scripture (Isaiah 45:3) is so real in this book And I will give (you) the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places . . . In our Christian walk, whether we like it or not, trials and tribulations are part of the Purpose in our everyday lives. I can still remember reading John 16:33 as a new Christian making my way through the New Testament. In words spoken to His disciples, Jesus boldly stated, In the world you will have tribulation. At that time I believed that everything would get better, that being a Christian would surely one day mean a problem-free life. However, the truth is that you and I—and everyone else will suffer. We live in a sinful, fallen world that involves bodies deteriorating, relationships that require attention, temptation coming from all directions, and relentless persecution of believers because of their testimony for Christ. This book will help you through your Divine Purpose, because sometimes the pit falls along the way, will really test your faith and spirit!

As you read through this book, Dr. Gordon gives sound instruction to understand the Divine Purpose. Through his writing, as the Holy Spirit leads him, you will encounter some wisdom from the Bible about trials, and about how you can approach them. You will also learn that there are different levels in your Divine Purpose, and how to maximize each level of your Purpose.

You will see that on your way to reaching your Divine destiny/ purpose, you will lose some relationships that you thought you had to have, but will realize that God only wants His will and purpose for your life. Dr. Gordon, shares his experiences how Jesus stood up for him and gave him help in troubled times. As Dr. Gordon gives spiritual food for the soul, explaining your Divine Purpose, he reminds me of the Apostle Paul who said; But thanks be to God, who give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57) and Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).

It is my heartfelt prayer that in reading, Purpose Hidden and Unveiled by Dr. James Gordon, you will be challenged to quell the enemy’s attack by wholeheartedly pursuing your destiny, purpose, and direction. As Dr. Gordon explore this thought provoking subject on God’s Divine Purpose, there are some very important question asked, I can’t help but think on the thousands of Christians at this moment who are frustrated not knowing how to find their purpose. In this book there are instructions on how to understand your Purpose, the principles to follow and obedience in God words. He has given us some great insight on how to understand our God given purpose. These principles will help us if we follow them.

God place within all of us the ability to fulfill our destiny in this life, but in life there are challenges we face that sometime bombard us from our God given purpose, but we are told that the challenges of life have no power over our destiny. This book is intended primarily for those who are searching for their God- given purpose, and determine to find the worth and meaning of life in midst of socio-economic situation and circumstances that they face in life.

Dr. Gordon has presented to us some strong encouraging words from the Bible and his spiritual experiences in his walk with God. You will find that in the process of this great search you will have opposition, you will lose some friends, you will be persecuted and lied upon but we were warned by Christ in Matthew 5: v11

Blessed are ye when men shall revile, you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake

Those who desire God’s divine purpose in their ministry must tap into the resources he has provided for us. He has assured us that it is possible and can be attained through obedience to the word of God. It is unfortunate that so many of God’s children are living without understanding the importance of life’s purpose, its worth, and value that it carries in a Christians life.

God has given Dr. Gordon a deep insight of His revelation to help those who read this book to get a deeper understanding how to unveil their creative purpose and capitalize on it principles for the building of His kingdom. This book will present important references for the readers and noteable thoughts, and scriptures that will add depth and meaning to its value. Reading this book will give you the urgency to attack the enemy and take back that which he has stolen from you. It is time to unveil your veiled purpose and bring it to maturity.
