I met Gary Burgess in 2003 and count him as a dear friend. One truth I have found to be a constant in Gary’s life is his unwavering and persistent drive to see people walk in the fullness of their destiny. In society today I see many who begin well in their walk with God, but when the storms and winds of life blow in, that’s it. They are finished! Instead of having roots firmly planted so that, although they may bend in the winds they won’t break, they are rather tossed and shaken by the winds, finding themselves uprooted with no wisdom or direction as to what to do next. Many seldom study God’s Word and rarely finish anything they start. If handed this book they would most likely question, Why should I finish this book?

May I take a moment and answer that question for you, my friend?

God’s Word promises us such things as joy, peace, love, health, and purpose. It paints a beautiful picture of the ideal portrait of what God has planned for His children. Jesus freely gave His life so we could partake of His divine nature:

"...his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, ..." (2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV)

The Greek word for nature can be translated as growth. Through the knowledge of God’s Word, we learn how to attain these precious promises and grow into the very nature of Christ. Yet the sad reality is that many believers struggle to see the promises of God come to pass in their life and therefore, tend to remain stuck in the real of this fallen world.

Living Christianity Outside Of The Box will give you spiritual insight, godly wisdom, and practical implementations to help you continue living and fulfilling the life God has planned for you. It is a tremendous tool if you desire to see God’s promises come into total fruition in your life.

We are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Every Believer has the capacity for a divine life of miraculous proportion, if only they seek and find the keys God has given to His children.

PREFACE

Hello, I am Gary Burgess and I want to welcome you to my book. Although I have written numerous articles in recent years, this is my first book.

For over twenty years I have researched various alternative health principles and practices. During 2016 the Lord began encouraging me to write about many of the things that I have learned and applied to my own life in this area, as well as in the area of spiritual matters which often directly connect our spirit being to the overall health of our physical body.

While pondering this assignment, I clearly began to see the Lord directing me to share, first the matters pertaining to our spiritual well-being, and from that, this book was birthed. I do plan to follow up with a second book entirely on the principles and practices of alternative health. At this moment however, the Lord is showing me there is a desperate need for His people to allow their understanding to be opened in order to learn how to apply certain basic spiritual principles that may be new to their world of thinking and living. These basic principles apply not only to matters relating to one's health, but also to every major area of life, such as: finances, relationships, security, leisure activities, education, work, and spiritual pursuits, to name a few.

This revelation set my course for writing about a much broader subject matter. If it has tweaked your interest as well, I highly recommend you read this book.

I am convinced that a thorough understanding and application of this book's content is critical for positioning an individual for significant personal growth and prosperity in relation to every area of life and abundant living. I believe it is a tool that will better equip you in fulfilling the destiny which your Heavenly Father has assigned to you.
