Allana Tang
Allana Tang is a retired educator, who has worked in that field since 1973. She taught in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago until 1988, before moving to the United States. In Texas, she, again, pursued her career in education, and in 2014, she moved on to a new calling. She credits her ponderings, musings, and questioning to her keen observations about the world around her. This perspective is evident in her writing. Allana and her husband, Francis, currently reside in Houston. Their two daughters are on their own personal journeys, seeking great adventures as they navigate this life.

My Personal Mantra:
Walk this Earth Fearlessly bringing harm to no soul
A.S. Tang
Fearless – does not mean less fear or no fear. It means embracing the fear and using that energy to fuel the desire to move forward, to conquer, to change, to be, and to be free! It means facing the fear, but doing the deed anyway.
Dedicated to the two people who have taught me how to live LIFE the way it should be. You are my source of inspiration. Where did you learn such joy for life? When did you become so fearless?
This is for you, Miche and Kim.
As you travel on your many journeys, know that:
I love you.
Preface
There are a great many books written on the subject of Life’s Journeys
. I have read many of them, but I noticed how difficult it was to stay on The Path. While stuck in traffic one day, I had an epiphany. I observed the world around me, and noticed that, the world of the highway is a perfect analogy to life. Everything we encounter on the roads brings some kind of meaning to Life. It is an outward journey that symbolizes an inner one; it is a journey of returning to Source, the Destination. Books, poems and songs have been written about this. I started making notes, and before you know it, I had an idea for a manuscript. It took retiring to get going on this project, and now here we are. The Universe is speaking. Dare we listen!
Introduction
These journeys… the evolution of SELF
This story unfolds as I watch myself evolve, moving forward and backward on this journey, wandering, and wondering why I couldn’t stay faithfully on this life path that I have, undoubtedly, chosen for My Self. I observed myself moving forward, at times, and observed how I slowed down to a crawl on so many other occasions. I watch the stumbling blocks. I watched at things thrown in my way both by myself and by others (or maybe all by myself). Why was this happening? Why was my mind preventing me from the path? But I never felt like giving up. What is this thing that propelled me onward?
I do know that once started on this way, there is no going back. I do know that every being, one meets, is on a journey, their personal journey, their Uncommon Journey. I do know we are all trying, in our own way, to get to the same place, the same space, Common Destination. We all know it deep in our souls, in the very core of our being. It is that thing that rears its head in moments of fear and it is that thing that gives us moments of Grace when we surrender, oh Sweet Surrender.
We, or at least I did, think we are on our own, but the further along the path you go, the more people you meet who are on this quest for Source. They cross your path and do so to edge you on or to knock you down. The Knocking Down
