    I

dedicate this novelette to my younger sister April Denise Glover, who passed away in 2012. She will always be remembered by a plethora of family and friends. I’m sure she is looking down, smiling, for in her heart she knew her life on earth was complete. Also, I would like to acknowledge my parents, John and Tina Glover, for their diligence in Christianity and for inspiring others.

    Why I Wrote This Novel

I wrote this book to help encourage and inspire others to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Joshua’s little sister, April, was twelve and was also very bright. Her teacher wanted her to possibly skip eighth grade and go straight to ninth next year because of her high proficiency test scores.

The members of this family were perfect, law-abiding citizens. Mom and dad worked Monday through Friday. The kids went to school, earned wonderful grades, and came home to a happy household. The kids had beautiful relationships with their parents, and Dave and Linda had a great relationship with each other as well.

One evening, the family was sitting at the dinner table eating supper. Everything was going well, as usual; they were joking and talking about work, school, and future vacations. It was a regular evening at the Traviasos’s house.

Joshua finished his dinner first and asked his mom and dad if he could share something with
