Renee's Poems with Wings Are Words in Flight - Renee' Drummond-Brown

    I’LL ‘RIGHT’ THE WRONGS!

"And I say unto you my friends,

Be not afraid of them that kill the body,

and after that have no more that they can do.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:

    Fear him,

    which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell;

    yea,

    I say unto you,

    Fear him."

    (Luke 12: 4-5 KJV)

Father, I beg of you; why fear ‘Him’?

And why not things, family, foe, or friends?

    Because ‘My’ child,

    They belong to ‘Me’,

So fear not, any of them!

    My child,

If you fear losing any of them,

Well you better think again my friend,

‘Cause’ those things, family, foe, and friends neither have Heaven nor Hell to pardon sins,

‘My Son’ is the only one to be feared until your ‘VERY END’

Yea I say unto you my child, Fear him!

    Or Father,

Shall I be afraid of them with the knife, gun or blade?

    No, ‘My’ child,

‘Cause’ once they kill the body I’ll still get the last say?

    My’ child,

Once they kill the body, there’s nothing left they can do…

I’ll have the last say on both them and you too!

Father the fear of losing a spouse, job, or, child is most overwhelming,

    MY CHILD…

I lost My only Begotten Son,

    REMEMBER CALVARY???

Father who should I fear most?

    Again my child,

My job is to cast away those earthly sins,

    …And

Your job is to fear the Heavenly Host,

    …And

‘I’ll ‘RIGHT’ THE WRONGS’ just as sure as ‘My Son’ gave up the Ghost!

Don’t They Know; Their Words Hurt?

    "But the tongue can no man tame;

    it is an unruly evil,

    full of deadly poison."

    (James 3: 8 KJV)

The venom is in their bite,

…and their spiteful words are scattered like fall leaves in due season.

Now they throw their rocks and hide their hands,

    But they can’t hide from:

The ‘I AM THAT I AM’,

The damage done has made me strong,

…and their spiteful words are scattered in the winter’s to live on,

But even the brittle cold must come and be-gone,

    After-all…

No seasons lives on, and on, and on…

    Once upon a time…

I was self conscious within those lies,

…and their spiteful words are now scorched in the heat of the summer rays,

Which are additions by subtraction that have faded, died and gone away?

They haven’t changed from yesteryears, today, nor tomorrow to come,

But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

    (James 3: 8 KJV)

…and their spiteful words keep Noah’s Raven in search of her springtime resting home.

Don’t They Know; Their Words Hurt?

So I’ll soar wounded to and fro…

…In search of that Ark to finally be nursed.

    ‘I THINK Therefore I’ll INK’

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead,

nor print any marks upon you:

    I am the Lord."

    (Leviticus 19: 28 KJV)

    So Lord,

    If I cannot mark myself;

Can we at least ‘INK’ on one accord?

God, at the blink of an eye, I’ll INK,

At the brink of failure or success, I’ll INK,

While enjoying a cool summer’s lemonade drink, I’ll Ink,

Whether we’re linked in richness or poorer, I’ll still INK,

Skating through this hard life on thin ice within a rink, I’ll find time to INK,

Father God; even when Satan’s mess comes my way, which clearly stinks, I’ll really INK,

    Within a heartswink, I’ll INK,

In sickness with a pink eye, I’ll just INK,

When my money causes my pockets to shrink, I’ll INK

In a designer’s mink coat, I’ll richly INK

In sudsy dishes in a kitchen’s sink, I’ll INK,

While watching the calls of a Spink perched bird, I’ll quietly INK,

For those of us who need to be heard,

I’ll use my ‘INK’ pen to ‘write their wrongs’ in truthful words.

    Till death do us part:

    ‘INK’ pen:

    ‘I THINK Therefore I’ll INK’,

    …and…

    I’ll Ink,

    I’ll Ink,

    I’ll Ink,

    I’ll Ink,

    And I’ll never stop thINKing!

    Author: Renee’ B. Drummond-Brown

Dedicated To: My Mom for telling me to keep ‘ThINKing and INKing’!!!

    Get Up!

    "Jesus saith unto him,

    Rise, take up thy bed,

    and walk."

    (John 5: 8 KJV)

Father it’s easier said than done,

    To walk the walk,

    While they talk they talk!

So I’ll just lie in state,

    And moan and groan,

Until ‘You’ come along to decide my fate!

Your sins are forgiven you is what the Scriptures said,

Now get up man, and sin no more,

    Rise, take up thy bed

    The impotent man,

Wanted so badly in the troubled waters,

So the Father offered His compassion,

    And showed him,

    How to man up,

    Therefore,

He spoke that ‘thang’ into existence,

    Just Get Up!

Father I’ve laid in state so long,

    Until, I don’t ask anymore,

Nor do I seek to find,

    …and to think…

    All I had to do,

    Was:

    Have faith,

    Listen to You,

    ‘Get up’ from my bed

    Knock at ‘Your’ door,

And the fear of the waters,

    Parted like the Red Seas,

    To be no more!

    Author: Renee’ B. Drummond-Brown

Dedicated To: Those of us who need to just ‘Get Up’ and Walk!

    AS SURE AS…

    "How long wilt thou sleep,

    O sluggard?

When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?"

    (Proverbs 6: 9 KJV)

    As sure as you sleep;

Your soul belongs to Him for keeps.

As sure as Roses are Red and Violets being Blue,

    The Father loves us all,

And we are to love one another in truth.

As sure as the rains fall from up above,

The Son will come out tomorrow,

    And…

The ‘Raven’ will never stop being in search of the ‘The Dove’.

As sure as God is good,

    God is great,

We are to give Him thanks,

‘Cause’ He is the only ‘BREAD’ that can fill our plate.

    As sure as the Father loves His children of the world;

    Red, Yellow, Black, and White,

    He created them all

In the Image of He Him; He created them,

Therefore we walk by Faith alone, not by color, nor sight!

As sure as the Father laying us down to sleep,

And we praying to Him our souls to keep,

    He will reject your
