    Biography

    Dear Nana,

    Make my day,

    Write me a poem

    Write me a play.

Your writing in my view is among the best of them.

    Your unique style is like no other;

I am awaiting other work(s) from you.

    You have yet to unfold,

    You are remarkable.

    Congratulations on your third book.

    Love always mom.

    Mommy,

    I pray

    I made your day.

    For ONLY you…

    EVERY POEM

    is fashioned your way

    Still yet,

    in my poetic thoughts

I have yet to WRITE your play.

    For ONLY you,

I strive to be the best of them

    But then again…

    You knew that when…

    When I make it…

    And, I WILL

It’ll be like ol’ times again

    Just the two of us

Struggling up those tiresome lonely hills.

I KNOW it’s a myth to ‘ev’r’ see you again

    Because in heaven

    Our sole purpose

Is to glorify and worship only HIM!!!

So I gave your roses while you lived

‘An’ showed you back all the love that you had to give.

Mommy, I’ll ALWAYS love your memory

Till death does it part from me…

    Nana

    Water broke!

    Man left me all alone.

    Labor phase starts

She had me push ‘ev’r’ so hard

    Cervix dilated 3cm.

    Active labor

    ‘An’ all

    5cm.

    flowing like a fountain pen

    7

    had me up all night,

    writing visions down

    in my mind

    ‘Makin’ ‘em’ plain

    ov’r ‘an’ ov’r again

    throughout the turmoil,

    struggles and ink fights.

    ‘An’ then…

    ONLY THEN

    She comes out

    Fully dilated at 10cm.

    Twas’ 12 midnight

    I birthed…

    A Poem!

    Writers block…

    Got you back

    AGAIN,

    I th‘INK’

    I’ll name her…

Renee’s Poems with Wings are Words in Flight

Dedicated to: ‘Wuz’ it a boy, a girl, or a POEM?

    Affirmation

    "And the Lord answered me,

    and said,

    Write the vision,

and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak,

    and not lie:

    though it tarry,

    wait for it;

    because it will surely come,

    it will not tarry."

    (Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV)
