    This is a story about a young girl who is teased in school because of a deformity she was born with.

    Through an experience her brother has in some woods behind their house, she is able to understand people and why they behave the way they do. This eases her pain.

    As time goes on and through surgery, she is almost completely normal, and seeing the reaction of others is satisfying, and almost humorous.

    A lot of young people are teased, a lot of young people tease. This story helps the reader to understand why people tease and that helps them in many ways to get through this time period.

    Dedication

    This wonderful story about a young girl holds within it a beautiful message about accepting others through deeper understanding. Nancy was born with a Deformed foot and became the brunt of much teasing in her early school years. Though she was deeply hurt by the way others treated her she came to understand there was a reason why people were mean and hurtful and actually had compassion for them.

    As young children in our formative years we treat other people the way we are treated, especially in our family environment. In this book Joyce Yatsook has presented a great truth that all people are special. We may look different, speak different, and act differently but every person is perfect just the
