About this ebook

How long will you wait for the love of your life? And how long will you actually endure the pain that comes from waiting for someone for an age?

How long will you hold on to the trust in love? And how long will you actually believe in the smiles that love brings in some lonesome dark nights when you are thinking of nothing and nobody but your love!

How long will you be able to believe that whatever happens, it happens for good?

And how long will you be in a love, that you are not even sure if your loved one loves and cares about you too?

Antu is a letter, and much more than a book, from a despaired lover to his love of life, for whom he has waited for an age! He has gone through the pain of numerous attempts of failed proposals, failed words, failed and broken hope and the excruciating pain of slowly letting go of her! He had become a poet in the disguise of a failed lover, and he had become a failed lover in the disguise of an idiosyncrasy of being cared and loved by her!

If you too have gone through such things, you may get a connect to this! However, Antu remains an inspiration and an apparition!

    Dedication

Behind each and every single word in this book are the hopes, love and care, hard work, sacrifices and the inspiration of many people I know, and a many people I don’t even know by name. But some people hold a very special place in the being and coming of the words in the form of a book named Antu. I would like to dedicate this book, and precisely each and every word of it to My Mom, Dad and my Brother! This book is a result of the encouragement and the enthusiasm of you all!

I dedicate this book to each and every single member of DoDD, the place I share with my friends! It was especially Abhinay who has always stood by me in my tough times!

I dedicate this book to all the great teachers who have inspired me to the beauty of the literature!

And I dedicate this Antu to the girl Antu, who has been the inspiration and the spark for my poems for and age now!

Antu, the book is a gratitude I pay to you all!

Thank You All! Thank You Antu!

    Poems Especially Inspired By Antu

    A Letter

    Dear Antu,

I have always had a choice to make. I could either leave it all behind and walk away or I could stay back, take all the pain that had to come, let the tears roll down my face, break and shatter into pieces and make incessant trials to make myself again, just to be broken again and wait for you for as long as I could. I was free to the most of any truth to make either of the choices! And, I preferred to wait!

I waited for you not just for a few days or months! I have waited for an age! An age that was eight years! And yet the words that were most solicited never came! And I kept waiting with a very delicate hope to survive with the fragility and fine spun of hope that someday, and in some way the words would come, and that someday the love too would! But that never did!

So, after all these years, now that the hope is broken, and somehow, I too feel dead, the story shall be buried! With it shall be buried all my dreams of tomorrow! All the sacrifices I have made just to be with you and around you shall be buried! And before that I get buried under the memories of all these years, I leave some words or you that may remain with you, even after me!

Antu, I leave Antu to you!

    Yours lovingly,

    Pankaj

    I Wanted That Girl!!

    I NEEDED THAT LITTLE GIRL,

Who called my neighbour friend Uncle!

I wanted her to play with me,

Make me run through the house,

    Running after me to ask,

    Hey Uncle! My Chocolate?

I just needed that little girl!

I needed that girl in my class,

Sitting with a good friend of mine!

    I wanted her to
