    Chapter 1

    THE AISLES

Armand Polynice is 25 years old, 5 foot 9 inches tall, muscular build, dark brown eyes, and soft medium length curly hair. Sara Holland’s hair is reddish brown and short, her eyes are hazel green and her lips are beautiful and full. She’s a tall thirty-year-old librarian; Sara’s complexion is a light soft shade of yellow. Her Father’s black with a caramel complexion. Her mother is white with auburn hair, and Sara resembles both of them. Armand has borrowed books from the West Farms Library for two weeks just to see Sara’s refined ass walk across the floor. He wonders what kind of panties she’s wearing, what color they are. Armand and Sara had made eye-to-eye contact a couple of times, she could immediately read his eyes and mind, and she thought nice but young, too young.

One afternoon as he was sitting at one of the library tables Armand decides to approach her, he had not seen her when he enter the library, he was anxiously falling apart wondering if she’s there, then suddenly she walks down the room and right pass him. He watches her as she moves, she has on a long close fitting skirt, it is black in color, a beige top and matching sweater, with the sleeves pushed up and her arms are filled with books, each step makes the skirt form a nice crease around her refined ass. Armand felt a rush go through his body and though his head. Now is the time, he thinks to himself as he watches her turn down one of the aisles, then he follows. The library has people in it here and there. He is hoping no one is in her aisle, he passes by one, two, three aisles and then there she is, on a step stool filing books. There are a few people in the aisle. Armand walks pass one aisle; there she is in full view. He notices the perfect round ankles, the socks, the sneakers, the whole body, and the face. As Armand approaches her, Sara turns her head towards him and says in a sarcastic voice, well, what do you want? Armand sees the pretty teeth, the beautiful full lips move, and as he looks into her hazel eyes says, I would like to know your name. She says, Why? Although Armand is 25 years old, he’s no ordinary 25 year old. He’s a young man with determination and he knows what he wants. And his reply is, you interest me. Sara smiles, she likes his answer it was original. She is still going to entertain herself with him. So, she says I’ve seen you a couple of times in here. What are you, a student? Armand says No. Sara, What then? Armand I am just a guy who wants to know you. Sara mm-hm, then you’re going to have to found out. She steps down off the stool, facing him, leans into his ear and whispers, excuse me please. Then she makes one of those faces that only a sister can make. Armand watches Sara’s fine body walk down the aisle.

The next afternoon Armand calls the library and a book clerk answers the phone. He tells her that he was in there a few days ago and a young lady with curly auburn hair had checked out too many books for him. The clerk says, Oh you mean Sara O.K. I’ll make a note of it, Thank you. For the next two weeks Armand doesn’t go to the library he has other things to do. Sara thought of him once or twice, she likes the way he dresses. The rust colored gabardine pleated slacks, the band color shirt, and the alligator loafers. Yes Armand is just cool enough to get her attention. But Sara has known men before, men that wanted to know what she was. Men that was fascinate by her complexion, men that like her hair, and that wanted to see and touch the hair around her pussy. Yes she knew them and their intentions, and was not easily moved by them. As a matter of fact Sara’s last boyfriend was over two years ago, she wasn’t dating anyone. She likes it that way. Life is easier for her like this, even though sometimes the loneliness is unbearable. Sara wont let it press her; she would just tough it out. But there was Richard, Richard Mays the Assist Librarian at Mid-Town Manhattan. He is nice, smart and cute, he and Sara had met while working at the West Farms Library. They had gone out to dinner and the theater a few times, and sometimes just being together. They haven’t slept together yet and Sara doesn’t know if she would. Sara does know that she intimidates Richard a little with her position as a Head Librarian, and with her spicy mouth. You see Sara would use vulgarity to make certain points in a conversation and would sometimes embarrass him. He would not know how to handle that. But Sara would always smooth it out and Richard would be at ease again. Two weeks passes before Armand has gone by the library. He is in the area one morning and decided to call and talk to her, to surprise her by knowing her name, the phone rang and Sara’s assistant Mrs. Walker answers the phone. Oh Hello West Farms Library this is Mrs. Walker may I help you Armand. Yes, may I speak to Sara? Mrs. Walker Hold on, Sara it’s for you Sara Ask who it is Mrs. Walker who’s calling, please? Tell her its Armand, the guy who was talking to her in the aisles a couple of weeks ago.

Mrs. Walker He says his name is Armand, the guy who was talking to you in the aisles a couple of weeks ago. Sara smiles, she knows exactly who he is. She says, tell him I talk to a lot of people in the aisles every day, sorry I don’t remember him. Mrs. Walker, sorry, she doesn’t remember you Armand. Sara so that’s his name. Armand, Thank you very much Mrs. Walker He knew she remembered. A couple days a week Sara would go across the street for lunch at the coffee shop. She orders a grilled chicken pita sandwich, small bag of chips, and apples juice. The owner of the coffee shop is Harry, an average middle age man with an eye for the ladies, but that was as far as it went. Harry always calls Sara sweets. What’ll your have today my sweets He says. Sara, The usual. She takes her tray to a small table by the window and reads the article she brought from home while having lunch.

On that particular day while she was deep into an article about relationships a voice says, May I join you.

It is the voice of Armand Polynice.

    Sara Why?

Armand a woman shouldn’t eat alone it’s bad for the reproductive system. I called you the other day at the Library.

Sara: Oh, what did you want?

Armand: I want to take you out.

    Sara: How old are you?

Armand, Over 21. How old are you?

Sara, Over 25. If I let you, it’s going to cost you and I’ll pick the place.

    Armand, 0.k.

Sara, O.K. Then. With a little smile, "The River Club Friday at Eight. Here’s my address, and phone number and don’t be late I can’t stand a late Negro.

    Armand I’ll be there.

Now the River Club is a swank nightclub located under the bridge by the river in Manhattan. The Club is gorgeous, from the outside the building looks like a regular row house except the front has a brass rail in front of it. There’re five steps that leads down to the clubs entrance, there’s a green canopy over the front door. When the doorman opens the door and you enter, there’s a whole new wonderful world inside. The club is a throw back to the clubs of the 40’s. It is complete with coat check girls, cigarette girls, and waiters dressed in white waist jackets and black tuxedos pants. The orchestra always swings with a variety of dance music and sometimes features star musicians. Tables are all around the floor except for what’s reserved for the dance floor. And the food is always delicious. Sara awakes Friday morning thinking about the evening with Armand, what should she wear, and how should she fix her hair She wants to send a message to him, not only is she older than he, but that she is too much woman for him. She wants to scare him with her womanliness. She figured the River Club would be too sophisticated for him. She is thinking about how fine he is, but she also wouldn’t let herself flip for a younger man. A young boy, she just wouldn’t have it. As a matter of fact the last time she visit the River Club it was with an older man who was more of a friend than a date. It was Harold, a divorcee, who was trying to reacquaint himself with the single scene, but was still in love with his ex-wife. Sara knew what had attracted Harold to her was a close resemblances she bares to his ex-wife. As a matter of fact she was thinking of giving him a call since she hadn’t spoken to him in awhile. The work day at the library is going along at a fast paste, Sara bought her lunch, a small one, because she wants her appetite to be in great form for tonight. She told her friend and co-worker Monique about her date with Armand for tonight. Monique is happy for her because she knows Sara hadn’t had a date for sometime. Monique told Sara Don’t let that young boy blow your mind

Sara Not a chance, this is just a one night affair; after tonight there won’t be any more. Monique, Um hum.

At five o’clock Sara’s workday is over; she is excited about this evening. Just as she goes through the subway gate her train roars around the track. She waits for the crowd to come off then she walks on and grabs the first seat she sees. Sara tries to calm herself down; she has five stops to go and one more train to catch. She gets off the last train, walks down the platform and the long flight of stairs to the street. She lives a block away from the train station. She walks down the block passing several stores, shops, and a diner. She lives in a nice little apartment on the corner of West 33rd and Crescent Avenue in the lower west side of town. As Sara turns the key to her apartment door, she remembers Bubbles. Her beautiful long haired Persian cat. The day flew by so fast, and with her mind on tonight she had forgotten all about Bubbles who’s waiting for her at the foot of the door as she steps in. Sara, Hi baby I know you thought Mama had forgotten about you, come on lets get you something to eat. Sara goes in the closet where she keeps Bubbles’ food and pours him a bowl of his favorite cat food and places a bowl of fresh water besides it. "There you are baby enjoy,’ she says.

Sara takes a glance at the clock on her kitchen wall. The time is six fifteen; Sara has to get moving. She takes her bag to the living room and places it in the usual spot in front of her bicycle by the wall. She then removes her light leather jacket and throws it on the leopard design corner chair as she walks towards the bedroom. Once in the bedroom she plops on the bed unties her black leather boots, takes off her red gold toe socks, pulls off the silver tab jeans and throws them on the bed, then comes the black turtleneck sweater and the wine colored designer bra. Sara then walks across the small hallway to the bathroom and runs the shower, she hears Bubbles moving around in the living room. She reaches in the shower to adjust the water, Mhm she says just right. Sara places her small pretty right foot in the tub and then pulls the rest of her fine body in the tub. She steps under the shower and let the warm water run down her face and down her body. Then she takes a tube of her favorite body soap squeezes a portion on a sponge and begins to wash her body. Her nipples are becoming erect from the warm water beating on them, she turns around and let the water run down her back and between her hips. Sara then takes another portion of the soap in her right hand and rubs over her pubic hairs. She steps out of the shower with the thousands of little beads of water all over her body. She goes to the linen closet and grabbed a towel and start to drying herself. She places her foot on the edge of the tub and started drying her feet and long pretty legs off, and then she dries the rest of her body. She walks over to the bedroom, and to the armoire where she decides on the deep blue lace thong panties, they make her feel sexy. She takes a bottle of Estee Lauder Pleasures and sprays behind the knees, breasts, wrist behind the ears, and then she sprays over her pussy. Sara steps into her panties and walks over to the closet to decide which dress to wear. She decides on a beige soft chiffon dress, at the top it drapes across her breasts in waves with spaghetti straps, she then places a pair of natural colored lace trimmed thigh high stockings on her legs. Now she decides to go braless to turn the heat up against her young date. She pours the dress over her fine body, and puts on a pair of sandal pumps. She went to the mirror to make up her face and to comb her short wavy hair. The time is now seven fifty, If he’s five minutes late I am going to have an attitude, she says to herself. Then the phone rings Oh it’s him she thinks, all this work for nothing. She moves swiftly to the phone, hello. it’s her father on the other end. Oh hi daddy, she sees Bubbles getting ready to jump up on her computer, she says to him don’t you dare. Then the intercom buzzes. Armand is right on schedule. Daddy I am just on the way out I’ll call you later, O.K., she says. The intercom buzzes again; she walks over to it and says Yes, a voice says its Armand for Sara. She buzzes him in, he opens the door and steps in to the hallway, and she’s standing at the top of the stairs, her legs apart, and the hall light shinning down on her as she moisturizes her hands. Sara watches Armand as he steps into the foyer and into the light. Sara says I’ll be right down, she looks down into his face she is very much surprised, how handsome and fine he looks in his navy blue linen suit that fits him just right. And the white shirt with French cuffs is impeccable. Armand looks up the long flight of stairs at Sara, she looks magnificent up there, her legs apart looks longer then usual, the dress shows off her curvaceous figure, her arms are bare and round, her face sweet and beautiful, and her short curly auburn hair seems to be alive. Armand thought to himself Urn what an evening, this is going to be." He feels grateful just to be in her presence, even though he has known women before,
