About this ebook

It is my hope, that this information can lead you on a path of wellness - we are made of what we eat, think and feel - and, we should eat to increase our strength, preserve our health, and nourish our life. We should think more positively, attentively, and aware of the consequences of negative thoughts contributing to dis-ease, pain, suffering and trauma. And, finally we should learn to FEEL all our emotions - negative and positive - to achieve growth and the potential for an intuitive, connected, and well-deserved future towards the goal of synchronizing our Body, Mind and Spirits.
I have all the faith, in the world, that with this knowledge or body of evidence, the reader can completely and convincingly come to the conclusion, beyond a reasonable doubt - that it is our responsibility to feed, clothe and shelter ourselves against F.E.A.R. and societys beliefs regarding how we should or should not do this.
It is "my" truth within these pages, based on my personal and professional experience - it is up to you, whether you digest it (totally or partially), assimilate the information to your personal beliefs, thoughts and ideals, and/or eliminate the information from your data base altogether.
The choice is always yours...
and always will be...
Forever !

    Overview

The contents herein are utilized regularly in my daily routine—I have personally experienced many health challenges in my lifetime and have been learning and teaching this information to my clientele for several years. As a Nutritional Herbologist and Rational Emotive Training therapist, I have acquired many tools and information to help people overcome the trials and tribulations of Dis-Ease. The benefits of this work has prompted me to sharing this ‘work’ with a larger audience—simply to re-introduce our body and its’ functions to the reader. Each chapter is clearly defined and formatted to easily read and understand the following:

    *    System explanation and function

    *    The body parts that are included in the system

    *    The Nutrients necessary to keep system functioning

    *    The Causes and POISONS that affect the system

    *    The Symptoms of dysfunction to the system

    *    The Dis-Eases associated with this system

    *    Mental-Causal Effect, an exploration studying the mental cause of physical illness

    *    Self-Testing, tests you can do in the privacy of your own home to test the function of the system

    *    Life Lessons associated with this system

    *    How to assist the system to optimum function

    *    Metaphysical representations of the system

Self-Healing and care are essential to our living healthy and abundant lifestyles, and it is time to seek the knowledge of alternative medicine, thoughts and practices to compliment Western Medicine.

If you are Ready, Take the journey with me—Beyond Symptoms . . .

    Introduction

My intent for writing this second book is to compliment and continually support the 7 C’s material for healing the whole SELF. As the 7 C’s pertained to the ‘outside of ourselves’ influences of healing, Beyond Symptoms pertains to the more internal physiological influences.

As the title suggests, the reader can grasp an understanding outside the limits or reaches that society chooses to acknowledge, regarding any phenomenon or circumstance accompanying Dis-Ease and serving as evidence of it really existing. Again, I would like to supply the reader with tools for moving forward with momentum and power, created to be supportive and inspiring QUESTIONS to dispel the F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) that’s continually generated through media frenzy, FDA and Medical Community guidelines and reports.

My goal is to prompt the reader to take responsibility and create their own Complete, self-convincing conclusions based on their own Body of Evidence acquired through seeking knowledge beyond a reasonable doubt of its reality-based Truths. Also to prompt humans to be comfortable in their own skin, and embrace the unspoken, yet necessary bodily functions that each of us experience. Too many of us are under the influence of powerlessness a contradiction to the ability to heal ourselves—if we have no power, who are we giving the responsibility to? If it is a higher power, remember that the Creator made your body for you to take care of… If it’s a Doctor, remember their oath First do no harm, then remind them . . . If it’s a Family member or friend—respected or otherwise—WHY? People only have power over us to the degree that they have something that we think we need. With knowledge comes power! This is a personal TRUTH, when you know about the cause of Dis-ease, you can prevent it and/or affect it to CHANGE positively or negatively—your Choice. Fear is the absence of Truth, an alarm set by society of impending Doom, pain, danger and/or Evil. An example of rampant FEAR is the word Cancer, many documented tests have been done to prove that just the mention of the word creates an influx of bodily functions to work in overdrive, sweating, anxiety, heart palpitations, stress, etc., . . . Just the word, not necessarily even a diagnosis—that’s Amazing! Fear grows within us when we do not love ourselves. The fear of rejection, living, dying, loving, being unloved, unwanted, uncared for, failure, success and most especially, the fear of responsibility. All these fears are imagined threats and terrors we’ve created in our own minds which realistically are ‘Walls’ around us, keeping us separate from others and ourselves. Robert Frost wrote, Before I built a wall I’d ask to know what I was walling in or walling out. The context of the work is simply defining and re-introducing the reader to their own body and its functions, self tests and social ‘sayings’ that play into the Mental-causal effects of harming or healing the body. I have found that in my practice, very few people remember what they were taught in school about their basic bodily functions, nutrition or health. This guide is to help those who wish to help themselves to accomplish their goals for a happy, healthy and abundant lifestyle. I have personally utilized this knowledge to continue achieving my own personal health and well-being goals. Remember, Learning is like soup—What you put into it is what you get out of it. I hear, and I forget, I see, and I remember, I do, and I understand… Put your senses to work, touch, feel, and experience the inner-workings of human physiology and gain a respect for this fascinating vehicle that drives our existence.

    Chapter One

    Cardiovascular, Respiratory &

    Circulatory Systems

    The Breath of Life

When we are born, our first experience of life is taking our first breath—activating our lungs to generate the sounds of joy, our primordial cry announcing our arrival beyond our mother’s watery womb. Without Breath/Respiration, we would not exist—these sacred passageways that filter oxygen through the nose and mouth, passes down the throat and through the voice box to the trachea, branching towards the bronchi which lead to the lungs exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide. Oxygenated blood travels from the lungs through the pulmonary veins and into the left side of the heart, which pumps the blood to the rest of the body. Carbon dioxide-rich blood returns to the right side of the heart through the superior and inferior vena cava, then the blood is pumped through the pulmonary artery back to the lungs, where it picks up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. There are three processes that are essential for the transfer of oxygen from the outside air to the blood flowing through the lungs—ventilation, diffusion and perfusion. Ventilation is the process by which air moves in and out of the lungs. Diffusion is the spontaneous movement of gases between the gas in the alveoli (small air sacs) and the blood in the pulmonary capillaries. Perfusion is the action by which the cardiovascular system pumps blood throughout the lungs.

The body’s circulation is an essential link between the atmosphere and the cells of the body—the delivery of oxygen to the muscle cells throughout the body depends not only on the lungs but also on the ability of the blood to carry oxygen and on the ability of the circulation to transport it. Breathing is usually automatic, controlled subconsciously by the respiratory center at the base of the brain. In quiet breathing, the average adult inhales and exhales about 15 times a minute. A moderately active person breathes about 20,000 liters of air every 24 hours. This air also contains toxic particles and gases—particles of dust and soot, mold, fungi, bacteria and viruses—which mobile cells on the alveoli, called phagocytes seek out, bind to them, ingest them, killing any that are living and digesting them.

    Every Breath You Take

This process is more often than not, taken for granted. Even our speech would be impossible without breath from the lungs to generate the source of sound. Clearly, our respiratory and cardiovascular systems are responsible for this process, so the internal parts necessary for breathing are associated with: the nose, mouth, trachea, larynx (voice box), pharynx (throat), bronchi, lungs, diaphragm, heart, blood vessels and muscles between the
